BE SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE THESE THINGS:

1. Someone makes 10x more than you do in a 9-5 job because they have more "leverage" with their work.

2. Distraction is the greatest killer of success. It stunts and destroys your brain.

3. You shouldn't take advice from people who are not where you want to be in life.

4. No one is coming to save your problems. Your life's 100% your responsibility.

5. You don't need 100 self-help books, all you need is action and self-discipline.

6. Unless you went to college to learn a specific skill (ie. doctor, engineer, lawyer), you can make more money in the next 90 days just learning sales.

7. No one cares about you. So stop being shy, go out and create your chances.

8. If you find someone smarter than you, work with them, don't compete.

9. Smoking has 0 benefit in your life. This habit will only slow your thinking and lower your focus.

10. Comfort is the worst addiction and a cheap ticket to depression.

11. Don't tell people more than they need to know, respect your privacy.

12. Avoid alcohol at all costs. Nothing worse than losing your senses and acting like a fool.

13. Keep your standards high and don't settle for something because it's available.

14. The family you create is more important than the family you come from.

15. Train yourself to take nothing personally to save yourself from 99.99% of mental problems.

The last three minutes of the IPL’2023 Final taught us an important lesson.

In that crucial moment, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) required 13 runs in the last over with Shivam Dubey and Jadeja at the crease. Mohit Sharma, the bowler for the opposing team, delivered an exceptional over, conceding only 3 runs in the first four balls. His strategy involved bowling balls at a good length, denying the batters any room to launch a powerful shot.

With CSK needing ten runs off the last two balls, Hardik Pandya entered the picture. He disrupted the bowler's rhythm, offering some advice and words of wisdom. This interruption seemed to break Mohit's focus. He ended up bowling a half-volley, which Jadeja promptly smashed for a six. Hardik once again intervened, providing further guidance. Mohit, perhaps affected by the micromanagement, bowled a delivery aimed at the leg side, allowing Jadeja to flick it over the third man for a boundary, securing victory for CSK in IPL 2023.

What could have been a heroic performance for Mohit turned into a disappointing one, thanks to the captain's excessive involvement.

This serves as a reminder that excessive micromanagement can lead to heightened stress and ultimately result in poor performance.

Rather than imposing constant micro-management, offer advice and support only when the team ask for it.

Let me share with you a real-life inspiring story in brief:

My maid, A 25-year-old girl, who possesses good manners and fluent spoken English, obtained her graduation degree from Pune University in 2019. Following graduation, she secured a position at a leading private bank, earning a salary of 18K per month. However, after four months on the job, she quit and instead chose to work as a babysitter at her ex-boss's house while also serving as a maid at two additional homes, one of which was mine. This led to her earning a monthly income of 43K. Nevertheless, when I relocated my residence six months ago, she discontinued working for me.

This morning, I received a phone call from her, and I could hear the excitement and enthusiasm in her voice. She told me that she had two good pieces of news to share with me. She revealed that she had successfully cleared her Maharashtra police exams, and she would soon be leaving for training. Witnessing her dedication and effort toward achieving this goal, I was overjoyed to hear this. When I inquired about her second news, she informed me that she is getting married to her boyfriend on May 11th, with whom she had been in a relationship since her college days.

Although I only had a brief encounter with her, I could tell that she was a highly motivated and goal-oriented individual. When I asked her why she left her job at the bank and chose to work as a domestic helper, she explained that working at the bank didn't allow her to prepare for the government job exam while taking care of a baby who slept for about 5-6 hours, which was her study time. It was impressive to witness such a level of focus and drive at such a young age.

Here are some valuable lessons that I learned from her life:
1. To achieve your goals, you must align everything in your life towards that objective.
2. Taking a step back or making unconventional choices is sometimes necessary, as she did when she left her banking job to work as a domestic helper, a role that is not viewed as a respectable profession in society.
3. She has demonstrated that no job is too small or insignificant if it helps you achieve your goals and supports your household. ©
