Delighted to announce that the fabulous team of STEM Baala will be joining me for the next episode of Vicharsthal Season 2. These talented bunch of teenagers are doing exactly what this world needs and I feel so proud to be associated with them in a small way.
STEM Baala aims to foster confidence in girls and spark their curiosity for Stem: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. They want to encourage Indian girls to study and pursue careers in STEM fields. They conduct computer classes every weekend for underprivileged girls, organize Science and Mathematics camps, help them prepare for competitive exams in Science and Mathematics and help them with books and stationery.
They conduct digital literacy camps for older women and organize talent search exams for underprivileged girls where the winners get scholarships. Thus, they provide digital literacy for underprivileged girls and show them that they too can have a successful career in the STEM field. This, in turn, will help bridge the gap of education and wage that exists between men and women today. They believe that by empowering the young girls of today, they can empower the women of the future.
Mark your calendars and don't miss this session because I promise it will be enriching and very inspiring!

STEM Baala has completed two years of its journey!!!
This initiative was taken by Vansh Tibrewal. When he volunteered at Angel Xpress Foundation, he taught underprivileged children how to play chess and solve Rubik’s cubes. He volunteered there every Saturday for two years. It was when he interacted with the children that he realised they were immensely curious and eager to learn. He noticed that the careers in the STEM field were, in the minds of their parents, reserved for the boys. The girls were not encouraged to pursue careers but expected to learn cooking, sewing and other household activities.
These preconceived notions led to Vansh founding STEM Baala, an organization aimed at fostering confidence among young girls and encouraging them to follow careers in the STEM field. In these two years STEM Baala has touched the lives of nearly 1000 young underprivileged girls.
We would like to thank all our donors, partner Ngos, volunteers, students & their parents for helping us generously in these two years🙏

STEM Baala presents 5 famous female mathematicians that changed the world.
The body of knowledge and practice known as mathematics is derived from the contributions of thinkers throughout the ages and across the globe. It gives us a way to understand patterns, to quantify relationships, and to predict the future. Math helps us understand the world — and we use the world to understand math.
The world is interconnected. Everyday math shows these connections and possibilities. The earlier young learners can put these skills to practice, the more likely we will remain an innovation society and economy.

I chose to volunteer with STEM Baale because I really resonate with their cause. I was really inspired by their work. Being a feminist and a woman in STEM myself, I believe that everyone has a right to learn what they love. Women in india are often faced with misogyny and opposition when they choose to pursue stem. It is important to me to close the gender gap in this industry . So, I volunteered here to help and contribute to their cause.
