Children of David Sassoon Industrial School, Matunga (Special Home/Children's Home) celebrated World Environment Day. 600 plants were planted by the children and took oath to take care of the plants till the plants grow. Ms.Zarina Faruqui, Secretary General and Mr.Albert from HURT Foundation graced the function. Along with the children the Chief Officer of the Children's Aid Society and staff members of David Sassoon Industrial School too planted the plants.

Two boys from Chembur Children's Home and the daughter of a staff member scored high in SSC Examinations, 2014 were felicitated by the Children's Aid Society, Mumbai. Ms. Zarina Faruqui, Secretary General and Mr. Albert from HURT Foundation graced the function as Guests. The Chief Officer of the Children's Aid Society and staff of David Sassoon Industrial School were present in the function.

Since last 3 years 'Life Trust' is doing summer vacation programme, collaboration with the Children's Aid Society's David Sassoon Industrial School. Under this program the children are taught English and Mathematics for all the children and Counselling and Aptitude Test for next year SSC students. On 6th June, 2014 the program was ended and for that program Smt. Poonam Lalvani, founder Trustee of Life Trust was present with her staff members. The assessment of the month long program was done in presence of Shri. Navnath Shinde, the Chief Officer of the Children's Aid Society, Mumbai, Shri. Ranganath Kulkarni, Dy. Chief Officer, the Children's Aid Society, Shri. Mahadev Sawant, officiating Superintendent of David Sassoon Industrial School and the teachers of the David Sassoon Industrial School. 'Life Trust' is supporting the institution in education.

Eye check up conducted on 16.04.2014 at The Children's Aid Society, Mumbai Children's Home/ Observation Home, Umerkhadi, Mumbai in collaboration with Aashiyaana and Vision India Foundation.
