Astronaut Christina Koch took this “space-selfie” during the first all-woman spacewalk in 2019. As the mission specialist for the II mission, she will become the first woman to fly around the Moon.

120,000 people were killed by atomic bombs dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 August 1945. A comparable number died later as a result of burn and radiation injuries.

650,000 people who bore witness to these horrific attacks and survived. These survivors are known as ‘Hibakusha’ in Japanese.

100,000 Hibakusha that are still alive today to tell their stories, almost 80 years later.

This year’s Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the organisation Nihon Hidankyo in recognition of their efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons. Founded by survivors, they use compelling witness testimonies as a reminder to the world that nuclear weapons can never be used again.

CDOE, JMI offers Admission to Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) Programme

New Delhi, October 10: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced admissions for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. Application form is available online at www.jmicoe.in starting from 10th October 2024, and the last date for submission is 22nd October 2024. Admission is based on merit, which will be determined through an entrance test scheduled for 3rd November 2024. The test will be conducted at examination centres located within the JMI campus. Applicants can download their hall tickets from the examination portal one week prior to the test.

The verification of documents and fee payment will begin after declaration of result. The schedule of documents verification and submission of fee will be announced with the entrance test results.

Applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria before submitting their application forms, as no forms will be accepted after the deadline.

In addition to the B.Ed. programme, CDOE recently completed admissions for a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes, including MBA, M.A. in various subjects, B.A., BBA, B. Com, and some certificate courses.

सीडीओई, जेएमआई ने बैचलर ऑफ एजुकेशन (बी.एड.) कार्यक्रम में प्रवेश की पेशकश की

जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया के दूरस्थ एवं ऑनलाइन शिक्षा केंद्र (सेंटर फॉर डिस्टेंस एंड ऑनलाइन एजुकेशन) ने ओपन एंड डिस्टेंस लर्निंग मोड में बैचलर ऑफ एजुकेशन (बी.एड.) कोर्स के लिए प्रवेश की घोषणा की है। आवेदन पत्र 10 अक्टूबर 2024 से www.jmicoe.in पर ऑनलाइन उपलब्ध है और आवेदन जमा करने की अंतिम तिथि 22 अक्टूबर 2024 है। इस कोर्स में प्रवेश योग्यता के आधार पर होगा, जो 3 नवंबर 2024 को निर्धारित प्रवेश परीक्षा के माध्यम से निर्धारित किया जाएगा। प्रवेश परीक्षा जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया परिसर में स्थित परीक्षा केंद्रों पर आयोजित की जाएगी। आवेदक प्रवेश परीक्षा की तिथि से एक सप्ताह पहले परीक्षा पोर्टल से अपने हॉल टिकट डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं।
