Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, also referred to as SPIT, is an engineering college of a great reputation in Mumbai. It is seconded only to VJTI and IIT-B, in the Mumbai region. The institute is located in 47 acres of green campus at Andheri (W), Mumbai. The college shares the campus with Bhavan's College (offering courses in Arts, Science and Commerce), S. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Central Food Technological Research Institute, and two elementary and high schools namely Hansraj Morarji Public School , Rajhans Vidyalaya CBSE and Rajhans Balvatika, A H Wadia High School. The campus has a tennis court, a sports field, a bank extension, a post office, a lake and a botanical garden.
