It was a pleasure addressing the State Bank of India AI Summit 2026 in Kerala today and discussing Agentic AI applications in Banking and Finance.

Our discussion focused on how banks can move from AI-generated insights to AI-assisted actions, while building strong guardrails, regulatory and compliance checks, and clear human oversight into every workflow.

For me, one point remains central: as we give AI more responsibility, we must make its actions traceable, its access controlled and its decisions open to review. In banking, trust has to be part of the architecture from day one.

Thank you to the SBI team for the invitation and the thoughtful exchange on building responsible AI for financial services.
