Start a Mahila Bachat G*t in your area to encourage savings, support small businesses, and create financial independence for women. Small monthly savings can lead to big opportunities through unity, trust, and teamwork.

Complete Guidelines: How to Start a Mahila Bachat G*t

1) Form a Group

* G*ther 10–20 women from the same locality.
* Members should be trustworthy and committed.
* Preferably from similar economic backgrounds.

2) Choose Group Leadership

Select:

* President
* Secretary
* Treasurer

These members manage meetings, records, and funds.

3) Decide Savings Amount

* Fix a monthly or weekly saving amount.
* Amount should be affordable for all members.
* Everyone deposits regularly.

4) Open a Bank Account

* Open a group bank account in the name of the Bachat G*t.
* Usually operated jointly by two office bearers.

5) Maintain Records

Keep proper records:

* Member register
* Savings register
* Loan register
* Meeting register

Transparency builds trust.

6) Conduct Regular Meetings

* Meet every week or month.
* Discuss savings, loans, business opportunities, and issues.

7) Internal Loan System

* Members can take small loans from group savings.
* Fix simple interest & repayment rules.

8) Government Registration (Optional but Recommended)

Register with:

* Local Panchayat
* Municipal office
* Women & Child Development Dept.
* NGO support groups

Registration helps in getting schemes & funding.

9) Start Income Activities

Group can start:

* Home-based food business
* Handicrafts
* Tailoring
* Catering
* Pickle, papad, or masala business
* Online selling

10) Grow & Become Entrepreneurs

Later, group can access:

* Government loans
* Skill training
* Business grants
* Marketing support
