🌟 Empowering Rural and Tribal Women: A Journey of Sustainable Community Development 🌟

We were honored to host an enlightening event on August 30th, 2024, organized by the Department of Management Studies and the Department of Political Science at SNDT College of Arts and SCB College of Commerce and Science for Women, Churchgate. Our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Mrs. Janak Palta McGilligan, a Padmashree Awardee, shared invaluable insights into sustainable community development.

"We had an unforgettable day at SNDT College of Arts and SCB College of Comm. & sci. for women with the remarkable alumna, Shikha Pandey (NET JRF). Her presence inspired our students to reach for the stars and pursue their passions. She graced us with her presence and shared valuable insights with our students.

The poster-making competition witnessed our talented students showcasing their creativity and awareness of the National Education Policy (NEP). 🎨🌍 Their artwork spoke volumes, inspiring all of us.

A special shoutout to the winner of the poster-making competition: your artwork truly stood out, and we are proud to have such creative minds among us. 🏆🎉 Thank you, Shikha Pandey (Alumna), Dr.Vanadana Sharma (principal), and Dr. Meera Sawant (BVA Head) for presenting the winner with a certificate of achievement.

The poster exhibition on the National Education Policy (NEP) shed light on the potential of this transformative policy to shape the future of education in our country. 📚✨

We were honored to have PVC Madam Dr. Ruby Ojha with us, appreciating our students' hard work and providing words of encouragement to fuel their passion for excellence. 🙌

A remarkable achievement by our students. Here are some glimpses of it
The Monsoon Art Show was started in 1977 by The Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, as a stepping stone for the final year students of Drawing and Painting colleges in Maharashtra.
This is the 43rd year of this annual show. Students from 20 colleges from all over Maharashtra have participated in the show and these are budding artists from various art fields such as painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, metalwork, and ceramics.
The artworks of four students in their final year at the M.V.A. Department of Drawing and Painting, Mumbai, SNDT Women’s University, have been selected to be exhibited in the show. These deserving students are Ms. Shefali Hakani, Ms. Shwangi Pandey, Ms. Pooja Khatpe, and Ms. Namrata Sanas. The artwork of two students from the B.V.A. department, Ms. Namisha Pisat and Ms. Netra Bendre from SNDT College of Arts has been selected for this show. The show started on July 1 and ended on July 7, 2023. Two Paintings by Ms. Namrata Sanas and Ms. Shefali Hakani were sold in the gallery on the first day.
The principal of the SNDT College of Arts, Churchgate, Dr. Vandana Sharma, and the HOD of the department, Dr. Meera Sawant, visited the show on July 5 . They encouraged the students and appreciated their artwork. Participation of SNDT students in these types of activities will definitely highlight the efforts of the department, institution, and students. Also, motivate them to work further.

🎉 NEP 2020 Week Celebration - Poster Making Competition 🎨📅

We are thrilled to share the fantastic success of our 'Poster Making Competition' held on July 26th, 2023, at 9.30 a.m. as part of the NEP 2020 Week Celebration! 🏫🌟

With overwhelming participation from nearly 30 talented students of the Junior College, the event was a true testament to their creativity and enthusiasm. 🎭👏

The competition's theme was to depict the various features of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 through innovative and eye-catching posters. 🖌️🎨 And boy, did our students deliver! The college floor and SNDT University campus were adorned with incredible artwork. 🎨✨

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the visionary guidance of our esteemed Principal, Dr. Vandana Sharma, whose support made this event possible. 🙏👩‍🏫
