Man Overboard Emergency Procedure! 🚢⚓
Knowing what to do during a Man Overboard (MOB) situation can save a life at sea. In this short video, we break down the immediate response protocol every seafarer and crew member must follow:
Alert: Shout "Man Overboard" immediately to notify everyone on board.
Deploy Lifebuoy: Throw a lifebuoy with a self-igniting light towards the victim.
Maneuver & Alarm: Sound the general alarm and initiate a Williamson or Anderson Turn on the bridge.
Mark Position: Press the MOB button on the GPS/ECDIS and assign a dedicated lookout.
