A group of professionals that is often overlooked - Teachers.
Teachers experience stress minute by minute. They're always on their toes, making decisions every second, managing student academics and wellbeing, managing multiple other projects.
In ensuring student well-being, teachers' own wellbeing often takes a back seat.
I had the honour of conducting a workshop on stress management for this wonderful group of teachers. We discussed what stress looks like for each of them and how working on self care and thought management is important for their well-being. The teachers experienced NLP-led imagery to feel relaxation.
Kudos to all the teachers!

At times, we get scared of some emotions. We resent them. We run away from them. But that's not the solution.
The only way is to feel these emotions, process them and make peace with them🙌

There's a recent KBC ad, where the participant says his wife has "OCD- safai ka keeda". Can we please just stop frivolously using these terms. OCD is a condition where one has repetitive thoughts and the only way to stop them is engaging in compulsive behaviour. Wanting things neat and tidy is not OCD! Let's use these terms responsibly.

Have faith💛
Intrusive thoughts are just like the uninvited guests. You are just not able to ask them to leave, you may not like their presence, you just learn to co-exist with them. Eventually you get so done with them, there's an outburst and you may rudely ask them to leave.
Well, you don't need to have outbursts to let go of your intrusive thoughts.
View these thoughts mindfully. Reflect on them. Where are they coming from? What are they trying to tell you? How true are they?
Mindfulness will lead to awareness, which will help you find the right solution.
If you're feeling 'just done' with these uninvited guests, let's chat about how we can find a way around them. Book your slot here

Many times, there's a gap in what we're actually feeling and the face we're putting on for the world.
We tend to repress our feelings. We may think that showing our true feelings can be unacceptable, wrong, uneasy or just not worth it. We may think others won't understand. We may not be ready to be vulnerable.
But we need to know that not expressing these emotions won't make them stop existing. These emotions will be stored someway in your mind and body and it will keep trying to make its way to the surface.
So what can you do about this?
Find a space for you to express your emotions. If you aren't ready to speak to a person, find a book and just write everything down. Releasing these emotions is very important. Being true to yourself as to what you're feeling and aligning the inner and outer world are very important!

In the world is 'hustling' and making it, we are forced to think of using anything we're good at, as a means of money-making.
While it's not bad, it takes away the comfort and relaxing feeling that we get when engaging in our hobbies.
Would you still paint without pressure, if you had to get a number of likes on Instagram?
Would you still read leisurely, if you had to send a specific review?
Let hobbies be hobbies, you don't have to monetize everything.
