east champaran,Bihar.Motihari is the ''karambhoomi" of the father of the nation, Mahatma gandhi where he successfully experimented with the idea of "satyagrah" during the "Neel Andolan" at champaran in 1917. the establishment of MGCUB commemorates contenary of the gandhi's satyagrah and his stepping of feet on this land. Permanent campus of the university:
The university shall have its own campus as and when land is made available by the state government free from all encumbrances. However, for the establishment of the university, the state government has selected approximately 300 acres of land near Bankat-Bariya village.The process of land acquistion is on and it is expected that the university will get its own land in the next few months .
