The culture of distributing money to women is fast catching up in the country. The pros and cons of such culture can be debated. The big question is whether it is sustainable for the economy, in the long run. Are our governments focussing on the relevant issues. Job creation and employabilityskills of the pass outs from universities is a big challenges facing us. The demographic dividend is fast changing to demographic disaster. Are the governments listening?

Cross skilling for the students is the key to success in today's fast changing world. Artificial intelligence is likely to take over many jobs. Students who are studying in different courses would need to develop skills which will make them employable in the coming times.

When should students start preparing for placement? Most students put it off to final year. But preparing for placement requires, understanding of your strengths and weaknesses. Inculcating right habits, developing the right mindset and learning right skills. This requires time and consistent effort. So one should start preparing for job readiness and employabilityskills as soon as possible.
