Définition & Explication
A sentence is the result of systematic arrangement of words, Words in a sentence are arranged in a manner that makes sense in speech and in writing. The words thus arranged always appear in a group, as:
(1) Humpty -Dumpty sat on a wall.
(2) It snows on the mountains.
(3) Shakespeare was a great dramatist.
(4) We can't pump the ocean dry.
For a group of words to be called a sentence, it should satisfy two essential conditions:(a) It should be well arranged; and (b) It's meaning should be clear.
