🌿♻️ WEALTH OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION ♻️🌿

Turning waste into wonderful creations!

The students of St Britto High School - Primary Section showcased their creativity, imagination, and concern for the environment through the Wealth Out of Waste Competition held in the month of August. Using waste and reusable materials brought from home, they transformed everyday discarded items into innovative, useful, and eco-friendly creations.

The activity encouraged our young minds to think creatively while learning the importance of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

The Math Science Club of St. Britto High School organized a workshop on Vedic Mathematics today, for the students of Grade 6 and 7.
The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Sagar Ram Sakordekar, Founder of SRS Vedic Mathematics Academy, Mangeshi, Goa.
The students showed keen interest and were excited to learn simple computing using Vedic Mathematics. It was an interactive session.

Tiranga Rally

Students of Grade 9 of St Britto High School organised a Tiranga Rally on 14 August 2026 as part of the pre-Independence Day celebrations. A total of 150 students participated in the rally with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

The rally was flagged off by the Headmaster, Fr Basil Vago SJ, from the school premises. The students marched through the main areas of Mapusa, carrying the Tricolour and spreading the message of patriotism and national unity. The rally followed a designated route around Mapusa and finally returned to the school premises.

The event helped instil a sense of patriotism, unity and responsibility among the students and created a vibrant atmosphere ahead of Independence Day celebrations.

PRAHARI Club Inaugural Ceremony:

The inaugural ceremony of the PRAHARI Club was held at St. Britto High School, Mapusa, on 4th August 2026. The programme was graced by LPSI Ravina Sawtodkar, who was the Chief Guest. She was warmly welcomed by the school authorities, staff, and students.

The PRAHARI Club is an initiative of the Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (GSCPCR) in collaboration with the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa, with the active support of the Goa Police. The club aims to create responsible, alert, and aware students by promoting drug prevention, cyber safety, personal safety, and community responsibility through various awareness programmes and student-led activities.

During her address, LPSI Ravina Sawtodkar spoke about cybercrime awareness and encouraged students to be aware, alert, and responsible while using the internet. She explained the dangers of cyberbullying, phishing links, fake profiles, online scams, OTP fraud, and the misuse of personal information. She advised students never to share passwords or OTPs, avoid suspicious links, and report any cybercrime to their parents, teachers, or the police.

The programme concluded with the message, “Be Aware, Be Alert, Be Responsible, Be the Change, Build a Better Tomorrow,” inspiring students to become responsible citizens and contribute towards a safer and more secure society.

Celebrating Pastor’s Day at St. Britto High School ✨🙏
St. Britto High School joyfully celebrated Pastor’s Day with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration, expressing our heartfelt gratitude for the presence, guidance, and spiritual leadership of our beloved pastors. The celebration was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony, bringing together the school community in an atmosphere of joy, fellowship, and gratitude.
We thank our pastors for their constant support, care, and inspiration. May God continue to bless them with good health, wisdom, and abundant grace as shepherds of our community. 🙏

🌿 FEAST OF ST. IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA 🌿

St. Britto High School joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration on the theme “Forming Hearts, Inspiring Minds.”

The Holy Eucharist was concelebrated by eight priests, with Fr. Edson Fernandes, Lecturer of Sacred Scripture at Rachol Seminary and Parish Priest of Assagao Church, as the main celebrant. In his inspiring homily, he reflected on the teachings of St. Ignatius and reminded us that whatever we do, we should do it for the greater glory of God.

The celebration was enriched by a melodious choir and the presence of our students, staff, PTA members, OBA, ex-students and parents. The Eucharistic Celebration concluded with words of gratitude from Fr. Jose, Chairman of the Management, and Fr. Basil, Headmaster.

St. Britto High School, Mapusa (Primary section) organised interclass fancy dress Competition on the topic "Think Green, Act Green". Our little champions took the stage and surprised everyone with their amazing performance. They beautifully shared the important message of protecting our planet. 🌱✨

Our tiny participants took up different roles through their creativity and confidence. They reminded us that every small step towards a greener Earth makes a big difference! 🌳💧♻️

Parents Teacher Association Annual General Body Meeting 2026 – Highlights
St. Britto High School, Mapusa-Goa

St. Britto High School successfully conducted its PTA Annual General Body Meeting on 25th July 2026 under the theme "Working Hand in Hand for Every Child's Future." Parents, teachers, and the school management came together to strengthen their partnership for the holistic development of every child.

The Primary Section featured an insightful parenting session by Dr. Vibha Parsekar, presentation of the PTA reports, addresses by Fr. Denzil Rodrigues SJ Primary In charge and PTA Chairperson Mrs. Ana Clara Remedious. Headmaster Fr. Basil Vago SJ, introduced the School Chairman, Fr. Jose Silvera SJ, to the parents, thanked the outgoing PTA Executive Committee (2024–2026) for their dedicated service, and welcomed the newly elected Executive Committee (2026–2028).

The High School Section included an inspiring talk by Dr. Jorson Fernandes on adolescence and parent-child relationships, followed by a presentation on the NEP assessment pattern by Mr. Ian Pinto. Headmaster Fr. Basil Vago, SJ concluded by encouraging parents and the school to continue working together for every child's overall growth.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem.
