The inaugural ceremony of the PRAHARI Club was held at St. Britto High School, Mapusa, on 4th August 2026. The programme was graced by LPSI Ravina Sawtodkar, who was the Chief Guest. She was warmly welcomed by the school authorities, staff, and students.
The PRAHARI Club is an initiative of the Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (GSCPCR) in collaboration with the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa, with the active support of the Goa Police. The club aims to create responsible, alert, and aware students by promoting drug prevention, cyber safety, personal safety, and community responsibility through various awareness programmes and student-led activities.
During her address, LPSI Ravina Sawtodkar spoke about cybercrime awareness and encouraged students to be aware, alert, and responsible while using the internet. She explained the dangers of cyberbullying, phishing links, fake profiles, online scams, OTP fraud, and the misuse of personal information. She advised students never to share passwords or OTPs, avoid suspicious links, and report any cybercrime to their parents, teachers, or the police.
The programme concluded with the message, “Be Aware, Be Alert, Be Responsible, Be the Change, Build a Better Tomorrow,” inspiring students to become responsible citizens and contribute towards a safer and more secure society.
