Hello everyone,

IEEE Student branch chapters, Indian Institute of Technology in association with IEEE Delhi section invite you to IEEE day 2021 Industrial lecture on Designing with GaN by Alexander Lidow, Ph.D., CEO and co-founder, Efficient Power Conversion (EPC) corporation, USA

Topic: Designing with GaN

Abstract: GaN power devices have been in mass production for over 10 years in
leading-edge applications ranging from lidar systems for robots and autonomous cars,
to drones, and artificial intelligence power systems. As costs have come down a
broader spectrum of applications have opened up to these components because they
are smaller, faster, reliable, and cost-effective.
For engineers familiar with power MOSFETs, designing with GaN is straightforward.
However, the faster switching speed requires more thought to minimizing parasitic
inductances, and the smaller footprint requires more thought to thermal management.

Hey Folks,

IEEE IIT Mandi is organising a celebration on the occasion of IEEE Day 5th of October. We cordially invite everyone to be a part of this event.

IEEE Day is an annual event where engineers from all over the world gather to share their technical ideas and share their experiences. The celebration will be held on campus in A1 NKN (south campus) with the proper covid guidelines. People who are not on campus are invited to join the celebration in an online mode.

IEEE Day is just around the corner on the 5th of October and to celebrate this yearly event IEEE SIGHT group in association with the Student branch IIT Mandi is organising an Ideathon, on Using Technology to achieve the 17 UN Sustainable development goals.
An Ideathon/Hackathon is a great opportunity for students to learn, grow and show their skills. The best team will have an opportunity to collaborate on their project with the IIT Mandi Catalyst.
