🌿 DAV Centenary Public School, Senior Secondary Wing, Mandi Promotes Clean & Green Initiative 🌿
Under the “Swachh Shehar, Samridh Shehar” initiative and the Clean Mandi Green Mandi campaign, a team of the Municipal Corporation Mandi visited the Senior Secondary Wing of DAV Centenary Public School Mandi to sensitize students about the importance of waste segregation and sustainable waste management practices.
During the session, students were encouraged to adopt the 4-bin system for proper segregation of waste:
🔵 Blue Bin – Dry Waste
🟢 Green Bin – Biodegradable Waste
🔴 Red Bin – Sanitary Waste
⚫ Black Bin – Special Care Waste
An interactive session was also conducted with the students, where they actively participated and shared their thoughts and ideas on keeping Mandi clean and green. Along with this, Swachh Survekshan feedback was also collected from the students to encourage citizen participation in the mission for a cleaner and more sustainable city.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mr. K. S. Guleria appreciated the initiative and stated,
“Awareness about cleanliness and waste management among students is the need of the hour. Such initiatives inspire young minds to become responsible citizens and contribute actively towards building a cleaner, greener, and healthier society.”
Such awareness activities play a significant role in building responsible future citizens and strengthening community participation towards a cleaner and healthier Mandi.
