23 सितंबर का दिन 1857 में प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के महानायक अमर शहीद राव तुलाराम की शहादत पर हरियाणा वीर एवं शहीदी दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। राव तुलाराम का जन्म 9 दिसंबर 1825 को रामपुरा जिला रेवाड़ी मेंं राव पूर्ण सिंह के घर हुआ था। प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दौरान राव तुलाराम ने अंग्रेजी हुकूमत के विरुद्ध मोर्चा संभालते हुए संघर्ष किया और आजादी की आवाज को बुलंद करने की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। भारत के प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में राव तुलाराम के संघर्ष को कभी नहीं भुलाया जा सकता। आज भी क्षेत्र का युवा वर्ग देश सेवा में अवसर के लिए तत्पर ही नहीं रहता बल्कि देश सेवा का मौका मिलने पर स्वयं को गौरवांवित भी महसूस करता है।💐💐💐
