The Malda College NCC Unit had the honour of welcoming the Additional Director General (ADG),NCC,West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate at Malda College.

The visit was a memorable and inspiring occasion for the cadets of Malda College NCC Unit under 11 Bengal BN NCC. The ADG interacted with cadets, appreciated their enthusiasm and participation, and encouraged them to uphold the core values of discipline, dedication, leadership and service to the nation.

The occasion also featured felicitation, cultural presentations, interaction with cadets and a memorable group photograph, creating a proud moment for the entire NCC fraternity of Malda College. 🇮🇳

The visit further strengthened the spirit of NCC–College collaboration and motivated our cadets to continue striving for excellence.

On the occasion of World Cleanup Day, the Malda College NCC Unit organised a cleanliness drive to promote environmental responsibility and awareness among students.

Our cadets actively participated in cleaning pathways, collecting plastic waste and litter, and ensuring proper waste disposal around the campus. 🧹🌱

Through this initiative, our cadets reaffirmed that clean surroundings begin with responsible citizens.

🇮🇳 A Proud Visit to Malda College

The Commanding Officer of 11 Bengal BN NCC, Col C. Vidyadharan, along with Subedar Major B. C. Ghosh, visited Malda College and interacted with the college administration and NCC cadets.

During the visit, they inspected the college campus and NCC area and met with Dr. Manas Kumar Baidya, Principal, Malda College. The interaction focused on the development, discipline and effective functioning of the Malda College NCC Unit.

The visit was an inspiring and valuable experience for our cadets, strengthening the bond between Malda College and 11 Bengal BN NCC. 🇮🇳

Malda College witnessed an inspiring Career Counselling & Motivational Lecture by Disha Cell, Indian Air Force, held on 31 August 2026 at Sanaullah Manch.

The session provided students and NCC cadets with valuable insights into career opportunities in the Indian Air Force, along with lessons on discipline, leadership, dedication and service to the nation.

The interaction was truly informative, motivating and inspiring, encouraging young minds to dream bigger and aim higher.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION

​“A Thread of Protection, A Bond of Service”

​Malda College NCC Unit celebrated the sacred festival of Raksha Bandhan with immense pride across two key locations: the 88 Bn BSF and the 11 Bengal BN NCC Unit.

​The event brought together our disciplined cadets, brave security forces, and the local community to honor the timeless bond of protection, unity, and selfless service to the nation.

​The programme was graced by the presence of:

​🔹 Commandant Naresh Kr Lohia, 88 Bn BSF
🔹 Col C. Vidyadharan,VSM,Commanding Officer, 11 Bengal BN NCC.

​Cadets tied symbolic rakhis to BSF personnel and unit officers to express gratitude to our nation’s guardians. Extending this spirit beyond military posts, cadets also tied rakhis to local citizens, including e-rickshaw drivers, spreading goodwill and warmth across the region.

“Khel Ki Baat, PM Modi Ke Saath”

Malda College witnessed an inspiring celebration of India’s sporting spirit on 27 August 2026 with the Khelo India Dialogue, organised by the NSS Unit, Malda College in collaboration with MY Bharat, Malda.

The programme brought together students, sportspersons, dignitaries and young enthusiasts to celebrate the transformative power of sports, fitness and youth participation. The event also featured an inspiring interaction with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi through the Khelo India Dialogue.
