On the occasion of World Environment Day, the NSS Unit and IQAC of U.M.K. College jointly organized a Tree Plantation Programme and Cleanliness Drive under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”
As part of the programme, saplings were planted across the college campus to promote environmental sustainability and create a greener future. A cleanliness drive was also conducted along the College Road and Nayabazar area, where NSS volunteers, faculty members, and students actively participated in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

Today Ujani Majuli Kherkatia College successfully conducted its Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA).

The AAA team comprised Dr. Bubul Kr. Saikia, Principal, LTK College, Member of the NAAC Peer Team and Chairperson of the AAA Committee, and Dr. Dilip Kr. Jha, Principal, Gogamukh College, Member of the AAA Committee.

The Principal of the college warmly welcomed the audit team. All departments presented their activities and achievements through PowerPoint presentations. The audit team visited all academic departments and the college office, interacted with faculty members and reviewed the academic and administrative functioning of the institution.

During the exit meeting, the team appreciated the efforts of the college and provided valuable suggestions for further improvement. Special emphasis was given to enhancing academic quality, strengthening student support systems, and adopting effective measures to reduce student dropout rates.

A one-day workshop on “Preparation for Civil Services & APSC Examinations” was successfully organised today by IQAC & Career Counselling Cell, Ujani Majuli Kherkatia College in collaboration with SPM IAS Academy.

The workshop provided valuable guidance to students regarding preparation strategies, study planning, examination patterns, and career opportunities in Civil Services and APSC examinations. Resource persons from SPM IAS Academy interacted with the students and motivated them to prepare with confidence and dedication.
