कैसे नादान हैं शो'लों को हवा देते हैं।

हम से दीवाने कहीं तर्क-ए-वफ़ा करते हैं,
जान जाए कि रहे बात निभा देते हैं।

आप दौलत के तराज़ू में दिलों को तौलें,
हम मोहब्बत से मोहब्बत का सिला देते हैं।

तख़्त क्या चीज़ है और लाल-ओ-जवाहर क्या हैं,
इश्क़ वाले तो ख़ुदाई भी लुटा देते हैं।

हम ने दिल दे भी दिया अहद-ए-वफ़ा ले भी लिया,
आप अब शौक़ से दे लें जो सज़ा देते हैं।
