AI tools are great for many things, but they can actually work against you in the ISLPR exam. They tend to push your writing toward formal, complex vocabulary — but ISLPR isn't testing how impressive your words sound. It's testing whether you can match your language to your audience and purpose.
A simple sentence like "I talked to the student's parents about his behaviour" is often exactly right for a parent communication task. Swapping it for heavy, formal phrasing can actually lower your score, not raise it.
Save this if you've been relying on AI to "polish" your ISLPR writing practice.
