🇮🇳 Lt. Shashank Tiwari embodied the true spirit of the Indian Army — courage, leadership, and selfless sacrifice.

During a high-altitude patrol operation in North Sikkim, he risked his own life to save a fellow soldier who had fallen into a fast-flowing mountain stream. In the line of duty, he made the ultimate sacrifice.

For his extraordinary bravery and devotion to his comrade, Lt. Shashank Tiwari was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra — India’s second-highest peacetime gallantry award. 🎖️

His legacy will continue to inspire generations of defence aspirants and officers to come.
