Inclusion of Startups, Innovation, Self-Reliance & Entrepreneurship in the CPI(M) Programme!
India’s future must be built on ideas, enterprise, innovation and opportunity for all. Startups and entrepreneurship should not remain limited to a few privileged centres; they must become accessible to students, youth, women, workers, farmers and aspiring entrepreneurs across every region.
A progressive political programme should recognize startups and innovation as important instruments for employment generation, local economic development, technological advancement and self-reliance. Public institutions, universities, research centres and industry can work together to create an ecosystem where new ideas receive mentorship, finance, infrastructure and markets.
Startups should be encouraged not merely as businesses, but as platforms for innovation, dignity of work, inclusive growth and social problem-solving. Strengthening entrepreneurship at the grassroots can help create opportunities closer to where people live.
I believe that the CPI(M) programme can meaningfully engage with startups, innovation, self-reliance and entrepreneurship development, while keeping social justice, workers’ interests, public welfare and inclusive development at the centre.
