The school's legacy of excellence began under its visionary Principal-Founder, Mrs. Laxmi Chak (1950–1965). Municipal Nursery School, Children’s Palace is situated in the heart of the city, 122 M. Beginning with a handful of children and very few staff members in the year 1950, the school was firmly established with deep roots under the efficient and able guidance of Mrs. Lakshmi Chak, the Founder and Head mistress from 1950 to 1965. It was the first of its kind to be based on Montessori learning/ teaching pattern. The School carved an eminent place in the city of Lucknow as the most elite and popular Nursery school under the distinguished supervision of Mrs. Kaushalya Popli. The School has kept place with the present times and is gaining new heights under the competent leadership of the present Principal Mrs. Savita Singh. Presently it has a playgroup section, 7 Pre Nursery, 4 Nursery and 2 Kindergarten sections. The School has a vast sprawling campus with a large playground, innumerable swings, domesticated rabbits and birds for the children to play with and feed. Two beautiful gardens with variety of colorful flowers, plants and trees. With their blue and white check summer uniform and the grey and red winter uniform the students of Municipal Nursery School, Children’s Palace carry forward the school legacy towards excellence.
