The 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony, held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, crowned PSG forward Ousmane Dembélé as the Men’s Ballon d’Or winner after leading his club to their first-ever UEFA Champions League title, while Aitana Bonmatí of Barcelona claimed the Women’s Ballon d’Or for the third consecutive year, cementing her dominance in the women’s game. Rising stars from Barcelona also shone, with Lamine Yamal winning the Men’s Kopa Trophy for the second time and Vicky López lifting the Women’s Kopa Trophy. In goalkeeping honors, Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG) and Hannah Hampton (Chelsea) took home the Yashin Trophies, while the Gerd Müller awards went to Viktor Gyökeres and Ewa Pajor as the top scorers. PSG was recognized as Men’s Club of the Year, Arsenal as Women’s Club of the Year, with coaching honors going to Luis Enrique (PSG) and Sarina Wiegman (England). The Socrates Award for humanitarian work was presented to the X**a Foundation, rounding off a night that celebrated both excellence on the pitch and contributions off it.
