*Teachers’ Day Celebration at DAV PS, Gevra*

Teachers’ Day was celebrated at DAV Public School, Gevra with great verve and enthusiasm. The students of Class XII took the lead in organizing and managing the entire event, making it a memorable occasion for their mentors.

The day began with the ceremonial lamp lighting and floral tributes to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Mahatma Hansraj, the architect of the DAV Movement. Morning Assembly was conducted gracefully by the teachers. The Principal, Shri T. P. Rao, extended warm greetings to all teachers on this special occasion. Class XII students stepped into the role of teachers and conducted classes for their juniors.

In the second phase of the celebration, the school was honoured by the presence of esteemed dignitaries from SECL Gevra Area and members of the Local Managing Committee. Among them were Shri A. K. Shrungarpure, Chairman (N) LMC DAV Gevra & Area Sales Manager, Shri N. K. Sahu, GM (Operation), Shri A. K. Behera, APM & LMC Member, Shri T. Raja, Manager (Finance), and Ms. Sudha, Personnel Manager. Their gracious presence and inspiring words added warmth to the occasion, as they wholeheartedly appreciated the efforts and contributions of teachers. Token of Appreciation were presented to teachers as a mark of respect and gratitude for their selfless service to the nation. The lives and contributions of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan and the founder Principal of first DAV School Mahatma Hansraj were remembered with reverence, reinforcing the ideals of education and service.

The celebration left behind cherished memories, reflecting the strong bond between students, teachers, and the entire school community.

*Freedom in Every Heart, Pride in Every Step!*

The campus of DAV Public School, Gevra came alive with the colours of patriotism and the spirit of unity as we celebrated the 79th Independence Day with fervour, enthusiasm, and national pride.

We were honoured to welcome Mrs. Seema Tyagi, First Lady of SECL Gevra Project and President of Shreya Mahila Samiti, as our Chief Guest. Our Special Guests included Mrs. Aparna Sindoor (Secretary, Shreya Mahila Samiti), Mrs. Rashmi Singh, Mrs. Jyoti Prasad, and Mrs. Deepti Verma.

The celebration began with the Flag Hoisting by the Chief Guest and our Principal Mr. T. P. Rao, followed by an impeccable, synchronised, and spirited March Past by our energetic student platoons, saluting the Tricolour with pride.
Our talented students expressed their devotion to the nation through soul-stirring patriotic songs, vibrant Dumble PT performances, and inspiring speeches by both students and teachers.

In his address, Principal Mr. Rao highlighted the importance of Independence Day, urging everyone to perform their duties with sincerity as a service to the nation. The Chief Guest, in her motivational speech, called upon all to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to the cause of national service.

Adding to the pride, in the grand Independence Day celebrations organised by SECL Gevra at Gevra Stadium — featuring SECL and all schools of the Gevra region — DAV Public School, Gevra emerged with flying colours, bagging the 1st Prize in the Cultural Programme and the 2nd Prize in the March Past.

The day concluded with a renewed commitment to unity, responsibility, and the ideals of our great nation.
