FIC recently engaged in a constructive meeting with Mrs. D. Mukherjee, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, to explore the endorsement of the Yogyata Vikas Program under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).

The delegation included Dr. Sheela Bhide, Senior Adviser – IIF, along with FIC representatives. We were also pleased to have Ms. Hena, Joint Secretary and head of PMKVY, join the discussion.

As announced in the Union Budget (Para 26), the Government is focusing on revitalising export-oriented industrial clusters to boost competitiveness and strengthen manufacturing ecosystems.

In this direction, NICDC ( National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited) in consultation with stakeholders, is identifying key clusters for targeted interventions in infrastructure, technology, and market access.

IIF participated in a high-level consultation under the Chairmanship of Secretary, DPIIT, with EPCs and Industry Associations to shape actionable strategies for cluster growth.
