It has been an immense pleasure moderating MCKQC, the quiz club of Medical College Kolkata for the academic year 2025-26. Now the baton is handed over to A***n Gupta, Raghunath Chatterjee and Debanjan Paik, the new moderators for the 2026-27 session. We wish them the very best and will continue to support and guide them as they host many more quizzes in our beloved General Lecture Theatre.

9TH AUGUST 2024 — a black day in the history of doctors, of women, of humanity, of India.

One year ago, we lost Dr. Abhaya Di — a healer who saved countless lives, yet fell victim to the corruption and culture of threats that plague R.G. Kar Medical College. Her voice was silenced, but her truth still echoes.

We, the Medical College Kolkata Quiz Club, refuse to let this crime fade into memory. We stand in unwavering solidarity with Dr. Abhaya Di and with every victim whose courage was met with injustice.

We, at MCKQC, are glad to kick off our action packed August with Roy and Sarker’s Double Engine! With Dr. Aakash Roy acting as QM for the General Quiz and Baneswar Sarker doing the same for the Sports Quiz, 3rd August promises to be another great Sunday for quizzing. To make it even sweeter, both the quizzes are free to enter and participate, and there are prizes for the winners. So what are you waiting for? Show up to the General Lecture Theatre to showcase your quizzing calibre!
