✨ EWG Students’ Journey – Stage 4: Amplification ✨

This is where it all comes together—and shines.
The final phase, Stage 4: Amplification, is about turning impact up to full volume. It’s the moment when ideas scale, results are shared, and the journey gets celebrated.

After weeks of hands-on learning and true collaboration, students begin amplifying the value they’ve created—fueling enterprise growth through stronger social media engagement and a bold, confident brand presence that’s ready to be seen.

And there’s more to celebrate! 🎉
Stage 4 marks a proud milestone as students earn their 6-week internship certifications, recognizing their commitment, growth, and the real-world impact of their teamwork. From discovery to convergence, from value creation to amplification, this experience shapes students into Changemakers—equipped with skills, confidence, and purpose to step into the world and make a difference. 🚀

✨ EWG Students’ Journey – Stage 3: Value Creation ✨

Stage 3 turns ideas into action—where learning becomes contribution. Students support businesses in their growth journey while refining their own skills through collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving - ultimately leaving a positive impact while creating community.

Guided by mentoring and training from EWG, students engage in SWOT analysis, enterprise need assessments, and identifying growth opportunities with paired entrepreneurs. Together they co-create valuable solutions to address real business challenges.

✨ EWG Students’ Journey – Stage 2: Convergence ✨

After the phase of discovery comes the moment where ideas meet action. Stage 2: Convergence is where our EWG students begin collaborating directly with inspiring women entrepreneurs, bringing together learning, skills, and real-world challenges.

Students are thoughtfully matched with entrepreneurs based on their strengths, interests, and the potential impact they can create. The journey now moves from learning about entrepreneurship to working within it, where ideas converge, perspectives expand, and innovation begins to take shape. 🚀

🌟*Capacity Building Workshop on GST Reforms and its Socioeconomic Impact on Consumption Pattern of the Middle and Neo-Middle Classes with a Gender Perspective*- an enriching and highly engaging capacity-building session held on 13th February 2026, hosted by the University of Calcutta, B.T. Road Campus, brought together policy, practice, and lived business realities on a single platform.🌟

📌The workshop was led by Sri Rajiv Sankar Sengupta, Additional Commissioner of Revenue, West Bengal, and Professor Ashish Sana who offered an in-depth and practical overview of GST reforms and their on-ground implications. The session explored the key differences between the earlier VAT system and the current GST framework, while candidly addressing the challenges faced by MSMEs—ranging from compliance and filing issues to operational difficulties encountered by company owners, especially in interstate sales and taxation processes.

💡The discussion was marked by active participation from EWG-hosted by Caterfly entrepreneurs, who shared firsthand experiences, raised pressing concerns, and engaged in meaningful dialogue around navigating GST within real business environments. Their inputs added critical context to the policy discussions, making the session both relevant and solution-oriented.

🍀This collaborative learning space reaffirmed the importance of bridging academic insight, governance perspectives, and entrepreneurial experience—strengthening collective capacity to understand, adapt to, and work within India’s evolving GST ecosystem.

✨ A special gathering at the University of Calcutta!

This week marked a meaningful moment for our global network. The Director of EWG Brazil, Dr. Paola Mazzilli, visited the University of Calcutta office of the EWG India. There she met Dr. Sharmistha Banerjee, further strengthening the partnership between Brazil, India and the US.

The meeting also included former Program Manager and Changemaker Lorena Marques (Brazil), former Program Assistant (US) Evie Flaugh, current Project Manager (India) Dr. Payel Roy, and Project Coordinator (India) Kankana Paul.

More than an institutional visit, this gathering represents something deeper: the friendships and community built through EWG that continue far beyond the program itself. 💛 It is inspiring to see connections that transcend cultural and geographic boundaries, bringing people, stories, and purpose together across the world. 🌍
