Nexconnect-LIVE Learning starts work again

The children of Sahaj Path belong to underprivileged families living on the pavements or slums in and around the Rashbehari area of Kolkata. The pandemic and consequent lockdowns have paused our classes, devoiding them of education and nutrition. While we could arrange for their meals in recent months, with the help of our benevolent donors, education still remained out of scope.

NexConnect LIVE Schools, a social enterprise incubated at IIM C, came to our rescue and agreed to conduct online classes for all the children, at a minimum fee.

While the issue of technology and content was resolved, logistics still remains a problem. Either the children do not have a smartphone or they do not have the ability to operate Nexconnect's platform.

Our volunteers came forward to conduct training programs for the children, who have smartphones, helping them install and use Nextconnect's mobile app. Still, there are many children who do not have smart devices and unable to join our classes.

We request everyone to kindly donate their old devices like smartphones or tablets. This will allow all the children to access our online classroom, closing in on the educational inequality.
