First Qadam of Pandora's Reel at Qadam 2.0 Read about Pandora Reel's experience at Qadam 2.0 at Adamas University.

As part of their Experiential Learning coursework for Victorian Literature, the MA III students created an adaptation of G.B. Shaw’s Mrs. Warren’s Profession. They developed a script that reimagined Shaw’s Victorian universe within a contemporary Indian setting.






In their adaptation, Mrs. Warren becomes Mrs. Walia—modern, financially independent, and yet subject to the same moral scrutiny, limited choices, and patriarchal judgement that shape Shaw’s original character. Her livelihood remains socially stigmatised but essential to the society that refuses to accept her openly, mirroring the tension between survival and morality that the play interrogates. The other characters were also reinterpreted to reflect present-day realities, while preserving the core themes of economic desperation and gendered double standards.






The exercise allowed the students to discover how seamlessly a century-old narrative aligns with modern India, and how relevant Shaw’s critique remains
