In the year 2007 a program was organized at Ballygunge Shiksha Sadan. Children from the age group of 3 years performed and enthralled the audience. In the year 2008 our school performed at Gyan Mancha based on the theme of Positives and Negatives of the World. Dances Based on Songs by Tagore and contemporary dance based on tunes of Rabindra Sangeet like 'Aguner Parasmoni' as well as Dances from di
fferent parts of India where we also performed. Our schools also performed at Kala Mandir, Customs Club, Calcutta Club featuring Kathak, Uday Shankar style of dancing, Folk Dances and Tagore Dance Dramas, 'Tasher Desh', 'Kal Mrigaya' and 'Chitrangida' and Devotional Dances. They have also performed for Kolkata Doordarshan & Channel Vision. The school also held program at Kala Mandir in December 2009 on the life of Lord Krishna with nearly 200 participants in different roles. All our programmers have been deeply appreciated by the audience as well as the experts representing different media. On 2011, Dec 18th a dance program (Classical, Folk, Rabindra Sangeet & Contemporary) also took place in the Rabindra Sadan where 275 students participated leaving the audiences astonished. Smt.Shukla Kolay has specialzed in Kathak and Thali Dance under the able guidance and leadership of Jyotiprakash Mitra & Gopikishan. She has also participated in a workshop by Birju Maharaj-ji. Later she joined the Uday Shankar Group under the leadership of Smt. Amala Shankar, She has performed dances all over india and abroad. She considers it a blessing to be a part of the presentation group of Smt. Amala Shankar on the ocation of the 80th Year Birthday Celebration for His holiness Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Puttaparti, Bangalore. She also choreographed and trained several young girls to perform at 'Puttapart' on the occation of the 80th Birthday Celibration of his Holiness SRI SATHYA SAI BABA.
