গণিত ও বিজ্ঞান অলিম্পিয়াড দেওয়ার বেশ চল হয়েছে এখন। একটা সময় এটা শহুরে মধ্যবিত্ত ও উচ্চবিত্তদের মধ্যে এই চল ছিল। বর্তমানে ইন্টারনেট বিপ্লবের ফলে গ্রাম বাংলা ও মফস্বলের মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থীও এসব পরিক্ষায় সমানভাবে অংশগ্রহণ করছে। তবে বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই শিক্ষার্থীদের কাছে সঠিক তথ্য না থাকায় বিভিন্ন ধরনের পরিক্ষায় অংশগ্রহণ করছে। তাতে ক্ষতি বরং লাভ নেই।
সাধারণ ভাবে এসব পরিক্ষা গুলোকে অলিম্পিয়াড না বলে Mathematical Talent Search, Mathematics Competition বা Math Contest বলাটা বেশি ভালো। এমনকি IOQM এর মতো পরিক্ষাকে Olympiad না বলে Screening Test for Olympiad বলাটা বেশি যুক্তিযুক্ত। যাইহোক গণিত এসব প্রতিযোগিতা গুলোর একটি সম্পূর্ণ তালিকা তৈরি করলাম -

Olympiad-
1 IOQM- RMO-INMO - আমাদের দেশে সরকারি ভাবে গণিতের একটি মাত্র অলিম্পিয়াড হয়। Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education(HBCSE) এর পরিচালনায় এটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এটির প্রথম পর্ব IOQM, যেখানে একটি নির্দিষ্ট নম্বরের বেশি পেলে শিক্ষার্থীরা Regional Mathematical Olympiad(RMO) এ বসার সুযোগ পায়। RMO পরিক্ষাকে অলিম্পিয়াড বলা যায় এবং IOQM কে Olympiad না বলে বরং Screening Test for Olympiad বলাই ভালো। RMO এর পরবর্তী ধাপ Indian National Mathematical Olympiad(INMO)। এটি আমাদের দেশ একমাত্র আন্তর্জাতিক স্তরে International Mathematical Olympiad(IMO), European Girls Mathematical Olympiad(EGMO), Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad(APMO) ইত্যাদির মতো Olympiad এ যাওয়ার সুযোগ পাওয়া যায়।

IOQM Eligibility : 8-12
Exam : September, 2026

2. Mathematics Olympiad by IIT Bombay :

1979 সালে IIT Bombay এর গণিত বিভাগের পরিচালনায় এই প্রবেশিকাটি শুরু হয়েছে। এই পরিক্ষার বিশেষত্ব হলো Original Problems এবং Enhancing problem solving skills।

Eligibility : IX - X for Level 1 and XI -XII for level 2
Exam : February, 2027

3. LIMIT by ISI Bangalore : LIMIT হলো একটি অত্যন্ত মর্যাদাপূর্ণ জাতীয় স্তরের গণিত প্রতিযোগিতা, যা ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) Bangalore-এর ছাত্রছাত্রীদের দ্বারা প্রতি বছর আয়োজিত হয়। এর মান অনেকটা ISI B.Math Entrance বা Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) পর্যায়ের কাছাকাছি। এই পরিক্ষায় সফল শিক্ষার্থীরা ISI Bangalore এ ক্যাম্পে যাওয়ার সুযোগ পায়।

Eligibility: Catagory A - for 10th standard and below
Catagory B - for 11th and 12th standard.
Catagory C - for undergraduate students.
Exam : January, 2027

4. National Mathematics Talent Contest(NMTC)- The Association of Mathematics Teacher of India দ্বারা পরিচালিত গণিতের এই প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরীক্ষাটি দেশের অন্যতম প্রাচীন গণিতের Contest. এটিকে অলিম্পিয়াড না বলে Competition বলাই ভালো। এই পরিক্ষার সিলেবাসের সঙ্গে IOQM এর বেশ বেশ মিল আছে। NMTC দুটি স্টেজে হয়- Stage 1 objective এবং Stage 2 এ Subjective হয়।

Eligibility: V- XII & UG students
Gauss Contest - V and VI
Kaprekar Contest - VII and VIII
Bhaskara Contest - IX and X
Ramanujan Contest - XI and XII
Aryabhatta Contest - UG Students

Exam - August

6. STEMS by CMI - চেন্নাই ম্যাথামেটিক্যাল ইনস্টিটিউট এর পরিচালনায় বিজ্ঞান ও গণিতের এই প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরীক্ষাটি অসাধারণ। যেসব শিক্ষার্থীরা ভবিষ্যতে ISI বা CMI এর মতো প্রতিষ্ঠান গুলোতে যেতে চায় তাদের জন্য এটি ব্যাপারটা বেশ প্রদায়ক। এখানকার প্রশ্নপত্রের মান খুবই আধুনিক। এই পরীক্ষার প্রথম 30-35 জন শিক্ষার্থীকে নিয়ে চেন্নাই ম্যাথামেটিক্যাল ইনস্টিটিউট ফুল স্কলারশিপের ট্রেনিং ক্যাম্প করায়।

Eligibility : VIII - XII and UG students

Exam : January, 2027

7. Techfest Foundations Olympiad - IIT Bombay - এটি একটি জাতীয় স্তরের প্রতিযোগিতা যা মূলত অষ্টম থেকে দশম শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য। বাস্তব জীবনের সমস্যা সমাধানে বিজ্ঞান ও গণিতের প্রয়োগ যাচাই করা। একটি অনলাইন কুইজের মাধ্যমে শুরু হয় এবং চূড়ান্ত ধাপটি আইআইটি বোম্বে ক্যাম্পাসে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

Eligibility - VII-X

8. Techkriti (IIT Kanpur) - আইআইটি কানপুরের 'Techkriti' উৎসবে স্কুল শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য 'Techkriti Open School Championship (TOSC)' আয়োজন করা হয়। ষষ্ঠ থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণি পর্যন্ত সব শিক্ষার্থী অংশ নিতে পারে। এখানে গণিত, মানসিক দক্ষতা (Aptitude) এবং বিজ্ঞানের ওপর ভিত্তি করে পরীক্ষা নেওয়া হয়। এর দ্বিতীয় ধাপটি সাধারণত আইআইটি কানপুর ক্যাম্পাসে হয়।

Eligibility - VII to X
Exam - March, 2027

9. Mathematics Talent Reward Programme(MTRP) - এটি ইন্ডিয়ান স্ট্যাটিস্টিক্যাল ইনস্টিটিউট (ISI), কলকাতা-র শিক্ষার্থীদের দ্বারা পরিচালিত একটি অত্যন্ত মর্যাদাপূর্ণ এবং জনপ্রিয় গণিত প্রতিযোগিতা। এটি মূলত স্কুল স্তরের শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে গণিতের প্রতি ভালোবাসা এবং সচেতনতা তৈরির জন্য আয়োজন করা হয়। এই পরীক্ষাটি সম্পূর্ণভাবে ISI কলকাতার বি.স্ট্যাট (B.Stat) এবং বি.ম্যাথ (B.Math)-এর শিক্ষার্থীরা পরিচালনা করেন। তবে এর নেপথ্যে আইএসআই-এর স্বনামধন্য অধ্যাপকদের পরামর্শ ও সমর্থন থাকে।

Sub junior - V to VII
Junior - VII to X
Senior - XI to XII

Exam: March, 2027

এছাড়াও এদের Integration Bee, Statistics and Probability এর প্রতিযোগিতা হয়।

10. American Mathematics Competitions(AMC) - এটি আমেরিকান পরীক্ষা হলেও ভারতের অনেক সেন্টার থেকে দেওয়া যায়। যারা ভবিষ্যতে বিদেশের ইউনিভার্সিটিতে পড়তে চান, তাদের প্রোফাইলের জন্য এটি অত্যন্ত শক্তিশালী। যেহেতু পরিক্ষাটি Mathematics Association of America(MAA) এর উদ্যোগে হয়, সুতরাং এখানে বেশ সুযোগ সুবিধা পাওয়া যায়। আপনি যদি AMC 10/12-এ ভালো ফল করেন, তবে American Invitational Mathematics Examination পরীক্ষার আমন্ত্রণ পেতে পারেন। এটি সম্পূর্ণ উত্তরভিত্তিক (Integer answer)।

11. HMMT (Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament): এটি বিশ্বের অন্যতম মর্যাদাপূর্ণ দলগত গণিত প্রতিযোগিতা। ভারতের অনেক ট্যালেন্টেড শিক্ষার্থী অনলাইনে বা সরাসরি এতে অংশ নেওয়ার চেষ্টা করে।

12. University of Waterloo Mathematics Competition - কানাডার ইউনিভার্সিটি অফ ওয়াটারলু স্কুল ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জন্য একটি গণিতের প্রতিযোগিতা এর আয়োজন করে। যেখানে গোটা দুনিয়া থেকে 25000 হাজার বিদ্যার্থীরা অংশগ্রহণ করে। Waterloo Competition মূলত তিনটি ভাগে বিভক্ত-a) Euclid Contest
b)Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat Contests
c) Gauss Contests
