Delegates,

I hope you had a satisfying day in committee today.
This is just a reminder that the official dress code for tomorrow for all committees except The Olympian Senate is Indian ethnic wear.
The socials will also be held in the evening in the school premises. So please get your change of clothes as you will not be allowed to enter the school campus after leaving. We will be providing all delegates with washrooms for changing.
I hope you have fun in committee tomorrow.

In life, man has come to possess a multitude of fascinating abilities. He has laboured, tirelessly, to build the various schools of art we find today, and in doing so, come up with some extremely engaging aspects.
One such thing is rhetoric.
Ladies and gentlemen, when we talk about THSMUN'15, we can talk about the effort the students have put into it, to ensure that this dream of theirs sails safely; we can talk about the anticipations they have from this event, and how excited they are about it; and we can talk about a host of other matters which act as the pillars that hold this mausoleum of simulated diplomacy up.
But one name we just can't go without talking about, is Kumarjeet Ray's. Having been a participant at 33 Model United Nations Conferences, and a host of other Debate Competitions and meets, this guy is the central figure in the organization of THSMUN'15. In addition to MUNning, he plays almost every sport he comes across, and is a member of the school's cricket team as well. But his talents don't end there. He maintains a beautiful blog, filled with pieces woven with the most articulately chosen words.
He has worked tirelessly to ascertain the proper functioning of this conference. From attending meetings simultaneously for hours, to answering every single call he got; no matter how late.
Hence, ladies and gentlemen, in the last post of this page before the Conference, we introduce to you Kumarjeet Ray; Secretary General, THSMUN'15.

Because if the effort that went into the Conference made the pillars, then the work this guy has done, provided the foundation.

There are a few people who do not say much. But that does not affect them or their skills in convincing people. They dont have any problems in getting people to listen to them neither do they have to shout often to do something. One such person is Mohit Poddar. A born leader who knows exactly which buttons to press when he needs to get something done. Mohit is known to be the calm and composed one and often mistaken to be soft because of that. I hope the delegates in his committee do not make such mistakes. A power house of talent. Mohit has come up with flying colours in everything that he has tried to do in his life. Be it sports like cricket and football or public speaking events like MUNs and debates. His impromptu improvisation in his speeches and his quick thinking abilities are amongst some of the best in the business. A Real Madrid fan who has been wishing for a Madrid success, has himself achieved a lot in the years that he has spent in the quizzing circuit. One of his many big wins is the Vodafone all India Quiz for the Eastern Zone. He is due to represent the Eastern Zone in the nationals later this year. All of you are cordially invited to attend the orientation session of The Heritage School Model United Nations on the 16th of June, 2015 at 12:30 PM at The Heritage School.
It is advised that the delegates of the two JCCs and the delegates of the two fantasy committees attend this orietation as a lot of things and changes in the ROP will be mentioned and whole concept of the committees explained.

There are some people around whom, no matter who you are, you will face an inferiority complex. Not because you are not talented enough or you are not smart enough but because these people are prodigies and they will always be millions of steps ahead of you. One such person is Shayantan Bhattacharyya or popularly known as Gammy Das. His 'other' name is so popular that no one really knows how to spell his real name so it is but obvious that his name is always misspelt in every certificate he gets in an event which is basically every event he takes part in. What Gammy does is a list that is beyond the scope of this post. He is so multi talented that he often does not know what to play for the school band - the guitar or the piano. So he just plays both. A master pianist and a master guitarist, he wants to grow up to become a rockstar. Though his heart really lies in Mangas and Animes and drawing mangas and anime characters himself. Yes, he is the Da Vinci of our school as well. The words woven by him are so beautiful that even Ryan Higa is a fan of his fiction. Yes, this is not a joke. Ryan Higa follows Gammy's fanfiction page. Hold on we are not over yet. He has played basketball nationals and he is a fitness freak who is often seen advising people on how to make abs and how to get definitions. He is also self obsessed. He can HAM, Debate and MUN like a master. You would think that this would be all and that he probably messes up his studies but no. He topped Uttarakhand in his boards and he promises to top the nation in his ISCs and crack the IITJEE as well. He is also the nicest and the most down to earth person ever. Oh and before I forget, he can speak in 5 different languages(or maybe more but 5 is to the best of my knowledge).

Most of us take part in Model United Nation conferences because we are interested in debating, public speaking or just to wear suits and have fun for three days. Seldom do people attend these conferences because they want to work for the United Nations. But Abhishek Poddar is different like that. Abhishek Poddar got into MUNs because he loves international relations and laws and he is one of those optimists who believe that the United Nations can actually make a difference in this world. Ever since he had been intrigued by politics, he had started voicing his opinions. Known in his class as Arnabh Goswami, he can passionately defend any stance and his verbal prowess is almost unmatched. Having started his impressive MUN career in Mumbai he has now left a mark in this city as well in the few conferences that he has attended here. Abhishek aspires to work for the United Nations Development Programme through he believes he can solve a lot of the problems that the modern world faces, peacefully. Hence, we couldnt have found a better chair for a committee like ASEAN Regional Forum whose guiding principle is co-operation between countries.
Abhishek's prowess isnt limited to the stage. He is also a brilliant student, a Prefect of our school and most importantly, our school's football captain. Girls, please take note.
