The Prophet Muhammad sallallahu aleyhi wasallam said, โThe best charity is giving water to drinkโ.
In Islam, giving water is considered a great charitable act and is highly rewarded. Giving the use of a water source is considered sadaqah jariyah, or continuous charity. The rewards of sadaqah jariyah continue to benefit the giver even after their death, as long as others continue to benefit from the water source.
