Highlights from today's (23-03-2026) Departmental Special Lecture Session.

Rabindra Bharati University Mass Communication and Videography Department Excursion 2026 : A Journey into the Heart of Bihar.

Our Mass Communication and Videography Department recently swapped the classroom for the beautiful landscapes of Simultala, Bihar. On this immersive study tour, we stepped into the field to practice real-world reporting and capture the area's rich heritage through our lenses.
It was an incredible opportunity to explore rural storytelling and see how traditional life meets the modern world. More than just a trip, this adventure helped us sharpen our skills and gain a fresh perspective on community media.

Special lecture session on Climate Change, Environment and Journalism in the context of West Bengal by journalist Sandeep Chakraborty at the Department of Mass Communication and Videography, Rabindra Bharati University

4th Semester Students of the Department of Mass Communication and Videography, Rabindra Bharati University participated in a Field Study for their Special Paper in Raghurajpur and Puri.

We thank all our students, staff and teachers for their effort to make it successful.

Special thanks to our Departmental Head for always encouraging and motivating us in all the ways.

We sincerely thank all our dignitaries, students, volunteers, University Authorities, teachers and non teaching staff for making this event a grand success.

Rediscovering Radio- 19.03.2025

We are glad to announce that we are hosting the one day State level seminar on 19/02/2025.

The Department of Mass Communication and Videography, Rabindra Bharati University organized an International Symposium on Tagore and Internationalism jointly with Bangla Worldwide on 29.12.2023.

Talk Show with our Head of Department, Dr. Debjyoti Chanda is back again with a new episode.
Here, you will meet our guest who not only excels as a scholar but as a practicing journalist he has been exemplary .
Arjun Chatterjee is currently Consultant with the BBC apart from his teaching assignments as Adjunct Faculty in two Media Departments in Kolkata.He holds two Masters Degrees one in English from Calcutta University and the other in 'Conflict Security and Development' from the University of Sussex in The United Kingdom.He is a Chevening Scholar and a BBC-Chevening Professional Placement Awardee that took him to the United Kingdom for 3 years. Widely travelled Arjun has been associated with Television Journalism for more than 12 years as Principal Correspondent /Producer / News Presenter in Star News Network, Kolkata TV, NewsX, India Today Group and BBC-Hard Talk.
But his brief stint as Researcher in Prishtina Kosovo and Lecturer , English Language and Literature in King Faisal University , Saudi Arabia is indeed interesting.
We request you to stay with us in the engaging session with Arjun Chatterjee, a scholar-journalist who is a bright spark, when we see so much medoicrity in the profession today . Timing -- Wednesday, the of 2020 at 7.30 pm IST .
We hope to touch upon all his areas of interest which include International Relations , Foreign Policy, Migration, Conflict & Peace and Environment.
