GET READY TO WITNESS THE TRIBAL TASTE OF DRESSING!
Folk Melodies is about both Indian and Global representation of various Indigenous/ Tribal/Folk culture through the mode of their Sartorial Choices. It essentially tries to capture the historical journey of fabrics, weaving methods, accessories that emerged “fashionable” throughout the various phases of historical development. The participants shall prepare costumes/ dresses based on different indigenous sartorial themes, throughout “Pre-Modern”, “Modern” and “Post-Modern” period (any one period). The vision of the event thus, will try to visualise and capture the various indigenous cultures through their sartorial history.
