1. Fact (ফ্যাক্ট / সত্য তথ্য)
Meaning (English): A piece of information that is true and can be proven.
Bangla Meaning: সত্য তথ্য, প্রমাণযোগ্য ঘটনা বা সত্য।
Examples:
English: It is a fact that water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.

বাংলা: এটা একটি সত্য যে পানি ১০০ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াসে ফুটে।

2. Factoid (ফ্যাক্টয়েড / আংশিক সত্য বা ভ্রান্ত তথ্য)

Meaning (English):

1. A piece of information that seems like a fact but may not be true (false or misleading fact).

2. A small or trivial piece of true information.

Bangla Meaning:

আংশিক সত্য বা ভ্রান্ত তথ্য, যা সত্য বলে মনে হয় কিন্তু প্রমাণিত নয়।

খুব ছোট বা তুচ্ছ তথ্য।
Examples:

English: The idea that humans only use 10% of their brains is a factoid, not a fact.

বাংলা: মানুষ মস্তিষ্কের মাত্র ১০% ব্যবহার করে—এটা একটি ফ্যাক্টয়েড, সত্য নয়।

English: Did you know that honey never spoils? That’s an interesting factoid.

বাংলা: তুমি কি জানো মধু কখনো নষ্ট হয় না? এটা একটি মজার ছোট্ট তথ্য।

👉 সংক্ষেপে:
Fact = প্রমাণিত সত্য।
Factoid = ছোট্ট তথ্য (সত্য হতে পারে) অথবা ভুল ধারণা (যা সত্য মনে হয় কিন্তু নয়)।
