*what is jewellery?*

Jewellery consists of decorative items worn for personal adornment, such as brooches, rings, necklaces, earrings, pendants, bracelets, and cufflinks etc..

*What is Jewellery Design ?*

Jewelry design is the art or profession of designing and creating jewelry. The art has taken many forms throughout the centuries, from the simple beadwork of ancient times to the sophisticated metalworking and gem cutting is known in the modern day.

*who are jewellery designers ?*

Jewellery designers are professional who work on various concepts on jewellery. They design and make the jewellery piece with their technical knowledge and use variety of materials like gemstone, diamonds ‘ pearls , metals etc .

Today jewellery designers from all over the world work on designs which has an inspiration and concept behind it.

•The idea or theme for designing can be taken from floral,geometrical and animal motif etc..

• Inspiration can also be taken from anywhere be it the surrounding, blogs,magazines, jewellery history,movies,entertainment source,music,nature,cultures,symbols,books,expressions and the list is never ending ..

After drawing the inspiration the jewellery designer simply scribbles it down on paper.Here he starts creating his design with creative thinking and vision.Further his/her technical knowledge about the gemstone, metals , diamonds & practical application helps him/ her to produce a piece which is desirable in the marketplace.

*A jewellery is just not a piece of ornament. It’s an emotion which passes from one generation to another .

*It’s that magic & spark which a grandmother passes it to her daughter & grand daughter . It defines the story of whole generation which gracefully passes from one generation to another.

*Jewellery is love & romance which a husband or a lover gifts as a sign of his eternal love to his partner in form of engagement ring .

*It has it’s own importance in many culture & religion. Simple example would be Manglesutra which a groom ties around the bride's neck in India , in a ceremony called Mangalya Dharanam. Those combination of tiny little black beads and gold beads are strung together with a beautiful pendant .

*The nose ring or nath also holds a cultural value in hinduism ,it symbolises that girl is married now .It is believed that a girl wears a nath on the day of her wedding and continues to wear it forever .

*Jewellery is an important part of any person in terms of investment and asset .

Yes !!! It’s just not a piece of ornament but it’s am Emotion full of love , security,freedom , passion and cultural values .
