Held recently at Delhi Public School, Howrah and Swarnim International School


The joy of books, young minds, and shared curiosity—The Seeking Mind Bookwish Book Fairs in Kolkata were truly special.

Held recently at DPS Howrah and Swarnim International School, these fairs were a beautiful celebration of reading, imagination, and discovery. From vibrant picture books for little readers to thought-provoking titles for young adults, from activity books to inspiring non-fiction—there was something to spark every kind of mind. The shelves were filled with stories that nurture empathy, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.

What made these fairs even more heartening was the incredible participation. The school management teams went above and beyond to ensure that both students and parents engaged wholeheartedly. The excitement of children choosing their own books, the thoughtful involvement of parents, and the enthusiasm of teachers created an atmosphere that was truly magical. Thank you heads Sunita Arora Rumjhumi Biswas 😊🙏

Teachers, too, walked away happy—many finding valuable additions for their classrooms and personal reading alike.

Work never really stops even when I am out of the country —but when it looks like this, it feels like joy.

A heartfelt thank you to my wonderful colleagues and team whose dedication ensured that both fairs were conducted seamlessly.
