🌟 Exciting Update from the Department of Electrical Engineering, FIT! 🌟

We are proud to share that Prof. Abhishek Majumder, was invited as a Resource Person for the two-day workshop on "Solar Energy: Innovative Utilization and Applications" organized collaboratively by the Departments of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical Engineering of St. Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology, with technical and financial co-sponsorship of IAS Chapter, IEEE Kolkata Section.

🗓️ Date: August 23-24, 2024
🎯 Audience: Third-year students

Prof. Majumder along with other experts from academia and R&D, conducted an insightful hands-on demonstration session, sharing his expertise on harnessing solar energy and its innovative applications. His session aimed to inspire students to explore practical implementation of Fly-back Converter topology for DC-DC power conversion.

🌟Exciting News from the Department of Electrical Engineering!🌟

We're thrilled to announce that four of our talented students from the Future Institute of Technology got the chance to participate in a fascinating technical seminar on "Guided Anti-Drone System Development" at St. Thomas College of Engineering & Technology, Kolkata, on May 7th, 2024. This event was generously co-sponsored by the IEEE-IAS Kolkata Chapter, both technically and financially.

The students were accompanied by the teacher-in-charge of the department, Prof. Abhishek Majumder, who is also the Secretary of the IEEE-IAS Kolkata Chapter. The seminar featured an insightful technical talk by Mr. Sajal Kanti Ray, Ex-Director of the Research Centre Imarat (RCI), Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, DRDO, Hyderabad. Kudos to our students for their active participation and continuous pursuit of knowledge!

We are pleased to inform that one of our staff members of our Department has successfully attended a two-day symposium on "Application of Artificial Intelligence in Control, Measurement, and Instrumentation" during Sep 23- 24, 2022, which was organized by the IEEE Joint CSS-IMS Kolkata chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Applied Physics, University of Calcutta. The event was co-sponsored by IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society and IET UK Kolkata Network.
We are extremely confident that the enriching experience of Ms. Arpita Bhattacharya would add to the teaching - learning experience of all the members of the Department including the Students.
