🌻Karma — A Yogi’s Guide to Crafting Your Destiny by Sadhguru ..

🍂 The word karma has its origin in Sanskrit, which literally means Action. Unfortunately, most people have understood action in terms of good and bad deeds.
🍂 They see karma as a balance sheet of merits and demerits, virtues and sins. This notion has created generations of puzzled and fearful human beings who use the term.

☘️ indiscriminately, without a clue of what it means.I don't think there is another word in any language, which has more myths, fallacies, and fears related to it than Karma has.

🍂Sadhguru’s Book Karma shatters all these false beliefs and gives you a Guide to Crafting your Destiny. And become the master of your own fate.

🗝️🔸In his book, Sadguru has described the various aspects of karma in a very technical way and in the most relevant way according to my own opinion. In this book he explains how karma works, how we can manage karma for our own betterment and use it for the good of others.

➡️ The most wonderful part for me was the third part of this book. It contains almost all the questions and answers that one may have in mind about karma.

🗝️ After reading this book all my fantasies about action have been completely washed away and now I have a new feeling about looking at many situations in my life in a completely different way.

⏳ Now I know that karma is not a problem of "sin and punishment" but the basis for our physical existence. We just have to manage our karma properly.

🧶 I just want to say that anyone who wants to know about karma should take a look at this book.

✨🍂“Karma means that you can change your destiny, not simply be ruled by it.”🌻

🌺 karma has nothing to do with reward and punishment.

🌺 karma was created by you, and it is knowingly or unknowingly being created

🌺 Karma means action - which means, your life is a result of your action.

🌺 Isn’t it a great freedom, That your life is 100% your making and determined by you only.

🌺 Karma is action on three levels: body, mind, and energy .

✨🍂 Helen Keller Quotes .... ☘️⚡

"The One Thing" by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan, is a life-improvement masterpiece. The aim of the book is to show you how to cut through the clutter of work, life, well-being, love, family, hobbies, free time, etc., and focus on the things that matter.

🍂 Cutting through clutter is a brilliant and important idea—but not a new one, right?

🍂 The ONE Thing treats the subject in a way that is different from anything else I’ve read or tried. It’s one of those strategies that is painfully obvious, but Keller and Papasan have made it an effective system to improve your life.

🍂 The idea is to find one thing in all situations that will allow you to produce exceptional results. Take any part of your life and find one activity you can do or focus on that you can move that makes everything else easier or unnecessary.

🍂 As Keller explains in the book, when you want the best chance of success anywhere, your approach should always be small:

🍂 “Becoming small” is ignoring all the things you can do and doing what you should be doing. It recognizes that not all things matter, and finds the most important things. It’s a tighter way to combine what you do and what you want. It understands that exceptional results are directly determined by how narrowly you can focus… When you go as small as possible, you stare at one thing. And that's the point.

“Man’s search for meaning” authored by Viktor Frankl. The book is a testament to the essential human spirit, the heartbreaker’s heartbreaking concentration camp experience.

During World War II, the N***s captured the author and sent him to a concentration camp. The author divided the book into two chapters, the first about the life of the camp and the second an overview of the logotherapy. In short, the first part of the fight, while the second explains how it was held until liberation. In the book, the author talks about giving a purpose in life, a way to look ahead as well, a goal that will help him and his fellow prisoners continue despite all the torture.

The original book is written in German and translated into several languages. The content gives a good idea of camp life and logotherapy concepts. The book has some of the best quotes and a couple of meaningful excerpts, the author explains a person’s psychic life before and after camp. I really liked it from a psychiatrist’s perspective, so it makes sense to understand why the meaning of life is vital.

Overall, the book is valuable to read, the reader would be able to understand the meaning of the goal in life. However, it does not provide a plan for finding meaning, it explains why purpose is needed and how it evolves throughout life.

In "The Power Of Habit", Pulitzer Prize-winning business journalist Charles Duhigg takes ways by force to the exciting edge of scientific discoveries that explain why habits exist & how they can be changed.

🍂 Duhigg presents a tremendous amount of information in fascinating stories that take us from Procter & Gamble’s negotiating space to the NFL website to the front lines of the civil rights movement, and it gives a whole new insight into human nature and its potential.

🍂 At the heart of the power of habit is a refreshing argument: The key to regular training, losing weight, increasing productivity, and achieving success is understanding how habits work.

🍂 As Duhigg shows, by leveraging this new science, we can change our businesses, our communities, and our lives.

🍂 The Power of Habit focuses on understanding awareness of how habits are formed and how to use that understanding to change our habits.

🍂 The book is divided into sections that focus on how habits affect individuals, teams, organizations, and even social movements!

🍂 The book is written in easy-to-read language. Stories are used to drive home highlights and takeaways, making it easy enough to read. The book is based on science, but uses stories to confirm these facts.

🍂 If you want to create or change habits, but struggle to make it a reality

The book presents a variety of case studies and stories with examples of how you can change and create habits.

If you need to change direction or create new habits, this book will help you be more aware of your habits!

🍂“Champions don’t do extraordinary things. They do ordinary things, but they do them without thinking, too fast for the other team to react. They follow the habits they’ve learned.” 🍂

I'm a fan of Austin Kleon's work. He is a writer who draws & distributes his books, & his creative work offers so many insightful, great ideas. I like the way he thinks & the way he explains things.

As soon as I finished his first book, “Steal Like an Artist,” I read his second book, Show Your Work. His third book, Keep going, is also in my booklist .. excited to read that also ..

Show Your Work is a different way to share your creativity and be discovered. Like Steal Like an Artist, the book is divided into ten sections with lots of quotes and drawings, which adds to the uniqueness of Kleon’s books.

The world has changed. It is no longer enough to just do stuff and hope people find it. You must be discoverable.

Think of your work as an endless process. You can share your process in a way that attracts others.
Imagine if your next boss didn’t need to read your resume because he’s already reading your blog. Imagine you are a student and get your first gig based on an online school project. Imagine losing your job, but you have a social network of people who know your job and are ready to help you find a new one. Imagine changing a side project or hobby into your profession because you had a follower who could support you.
Or imagine something simpler and just as satisfying: spending most of your time, energy, and attention practicing a profession, studying a profession, or doing business, but also allowing your job to attract a group of people who share your interest.
All you have to do is show your work.

“Be so good they can’t ignore you.” – STEVE MARTIN

✨🗝️ Key Lessons : 🌿

“Put yourself, and your work, out there every day, and you’ll start meeting some amazing people.” – BOBBY SOLOMON

I like Austin’s advice straightforward and raw. His sensible approach is very relative. His books are easy to digest & can be eaten in one session. Really amazing ... ,,

“Brims with a surprising amount of insight and practical advice.” —The Wall Street Journal

The best-selling author of Drive & To Sell Is Human, Daniel H. Pink, reveals scientific secrets at good timing to help you thrive at work, school & home.

🍂 Everyone knows that timing is everything. But we don’t know much about the timing itself. Our lives are an endless stream of “when” decisions: when to start a business, schedule a course, take people seriously. Still, we make those decisions based on intuition & guesswork.

🍂 It is often assumed that timing is an art. When: The scientific secrets of perfect timing, Pink shows that timing is truly a science.

🍂 Based on research in light psychology, biology, & economics, Pink reveals how best to live, work, & succeed. How can we use the day’s hidden models to build the ideal schedule? Why do certain breaks dramatically improve student test scores? How can we turn a stumbling beginning into a new beginning? Why should we avoid going to the hospital in the afternoon? Why is singing in time with other people as good as exercising for you? What is the ideal time to quit a job, change careers, or get married?

🍂 In When, Pink distills cutting-edge research & knowledge about timing & synthesizes them into a fascinating, readable story full of irresistible stories & practical assurances that give readers a convincing insight into how we can live richer, more committed lives.

In this intriguing book, Pink examines the importance of good and bad timing. He begins by explaining how our individual chronotype (easily established) determines both our mood & our ability to perform at any given time of the day: how it affects our professional & our ethical judgements, as well as our physical function.

But he doesn’t just pontificate on the best time to do something for future success & happiness. He acknowledges that not everyone can control their work environment or the financial climate as they enter the job market. Pink also gives practical suggestions for dealing with less than ideal conditions, as well as hints and tips to improve everyday life.

7 Key Lessons From
- "Who Moved My Cheese"
By Dr. Spencer Johnson,

Those Who Don’t Change Go Extinct :
Businesses die every day, and they are usually the ones who didn’t move and chase after the new cheese, whether out of fear or because they just weren’t quick enough. Don’t be one of these businesses and die as the times change. Instead, try to make your business one of the lasting adaptable ones that is a model for others.

What Would You Be Without Fear?
A good way to model your business procedures or plan, both during a time immediately after change or before change, is to imagine how you would do things if you weren’t worried about finding new cheese. This can help you develop action plans for when it becomes time to chase after new cheese or after things settle down.

Always Be Ready for Change :
In keeping with monitoring the “cheese”, you should also always be ready to move in case things proceed quickly. Agile, adaptable businesses are those best positioned to take advantage of new opportunities when new cheese appears in the maze.

Avoid Complacency :
Mastering all of the above techniques will help you navigate the maze of the business world adeptly and ensure that you can meet any challenge you might encounter. But these skills are only useful

✨🍂 Oscar Wilde Quotes .... ☘️⚡

Make Time is an example of how you can avoid distractions & focus better on what’s really important. This book is from two people who helped develop the biggest distractions, Gmail & YouTube. This book is written in an easily accessible way, including some snarky footnotes to help keep the reader engaged. The ideas behind the book aren’t really new, most are either old ideas or common sense advice wrapped in new packaging.Key ideas include avoiding busy bandwagon & infinity pools.Busy Bandwagon is a term for constant pressure to do more to increase productivity, leading to more to do at an ever-increasing pace. Infinity pools are distractions that absorb ridiculous time due to the fact that they are constantly refreshing, such as email, news sites & social media. There are also some radical ideas in this book, the most dramatic being the extent to which the authors recommend breaking away from the constant disruption of the Internet. It’s hard to imagine deleting email & browsers from ur phone. There are also ideas that seem more achievable, such as advice on how to be more present at the moment & not being bothered by work when u’re not at work.

Make Time consists of four main parts; Highlight, laser, reflect & power. These sections contain many ideas for implementing that part of the plan, emphasizing that no one needs to use all the suggestions. In fact, there are some suggestions that are not used by either of the authors. The goal is for each reader to experiment by developing a plan that best suits their specific needs & preferences. Ideas implemented by authors usually include anecdotes or comments that make them more sensible, although the idea proposed is something extreme, such as not having an Internet connection at home.

The general approach of the authors is that no one is perfect, & they are not here to say that they have developed a perfect system that works for everyone. The script is easily accessible and easy to read, & has enough humor to engage you

Despite our technological advances, it seems that things are only getting worse. Overpopulation, terrorism, natural disasters, lack of food & resources, crime, income disparities & access to education are just a few of the things humanity is struggling with. It misses the good old days.

"By recognizing the errors in our perception & in the information at hand, we can improve decision-making for ourselves and our teams."

Factfulness: Ten Reasons We’re Wrong About the World and Why Things Are Better Than You Think

Author: Hans Rosling

This is a 352 page book ..
Rosling begins his book Factfulness with a thirteen-question multiple-choice competition that helps readers evaluate their understanding of the facts of the world. The questions usually focus on the distribution of health care, education, wealth, & population.

"We must be mindful of the accuracy of the information we consume. We need to remain curious & avoid the cognitive shortcuts that lead to biases & obscure the truths of our world."

Factfulness is an excellent book for those who value good knowledge of gut feelings, especially at this age, when social media, political debate, & cable news programs often use hyperbolism, fear, & xenophobia as tools to convince people of misinformation. This book is very important for teachers who are increasingly trusted & who serve as guides for students on how to evaluate & consume factual and reliable information. The facts are indeed ideal for teachers who plan lesson plans for a number of reasons.First, it provides convincing but underestimated information about how the world has slowly become a better place, which Rosling calls “the secret, silent miracle of human progress” (p. 51). Second, it shows that, on average, caring citizens have achieved these improvements in poverty, energy, health, education & women’s rights by acting — that the voice of one person matters & that behavior matters.Third, it provides tools to avoid cognitive & emotional pitfalls during information consumption. Students need guidance & practice in dealing with the often biased information of their peers, parents, social media, television, commercials & school.
