Adarsh Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Savarde is an educational institution founded by a group of responsible and enterprising citizens who have congregated with the positive thought of empowering the rural students by facilitating to them to avail the modern education. Now-a-days some villages have English medium schools also. Savarde is a small village in Hatkanangale Tehsil of Kolhapur district in M

aharashtra with the population around 7000. The students here had to go to Peth-Vadgaon which is 5 kilometers away and parents cannot afford the fees of the schools there. Adarsh Shikshan Prasarak Mandal established Adarsh English Medium School, Savarde in 2007. It is registered under the Society’s Registration Act – 1860 on 10th May, 2007 and it is awarded the Registration No. The Mandal is registered under Bombay Public Trust Act – 1950 on 3rd September, 2010 with No. The school is growing considerably. It has three storied building with 8100 sq. ft. built up area. Its playground is of 25000 sq. area which is on rental basis. The existing nine classrooms (Playgroup to Standard Four) are equipped with the modern teaching aids. The school has qualified, experienced, and committed teachers who endeavor to prepare students as per the Maharashtra State Board curriculum guidelines with a special focus on sports and extra- and co-curricular activities. The primary wing of the school has been successful in being famous among the people in this area. It gets the flow of the students from not only Savarde but also the nearby villages. The Sanstha is striving to provide the rural students the quality education that is available to the urban students and in a way, it is putting sincere efforts to bridge the gap between the rural and urban India
