Create A New Generation - Cangen

Dear friends, We as Kerala state are in the relief and recovery stages before we begin a complete reconstruction. Many organizations, individuals, and Govt. are parallelly working to make this happen in different forms in different places. In continuation of our existing works, CANGEN Social Services Pvt. Ltd. has identified 150 families in affected colonies on the outskirts of Chengannur, Kerala. For the relief stage, we are distributing Food Kit+ (Bucket & Mug) worth Rs 625 for 100 families who have the maximum need. In the next few days, as part of the recovery process, for the entire 150 families, we are aiming to provide (Gas Stove with Burner + Kitchen Utensils + other essentials) worth Rs 3000 (per family) so that they will have hope in these troubled times. In commemoration with children's day, CANGEN (Create a new Generation) social service launched Project Gratitude aimed at creating good value system in our society. As our first activity, we were able to give over 600 delicious lunch packs and bottled water to our city's traffic police force and security guards. Our city's school children, as part of value education, presented "Thank you cards" to each of these personnels for their selfless contribution for the wellbeing of our society. Over 150 volunteers that include students, social workers, artists, bakers, psychologists, doctors, entrepreneurs and professionals have signed up for this project. Our honourable Kochi MLA, Shri Hibi Eden inaugurated this event.

CANGEN's volunteers distributing bedsheets and clothes to the homeless on Indian Republic Day

Day 2 :
1. Our team surveyed the entire locality and identified the streets that experienced highest losses.
2. Providing cereals and vegetables for families, milk powder kit and biscuits for infants and children, medicines for elderly people and clothing and bedsheets for the destitute and downtrodden.
3. Preparing an immediate & sustainable development plan for restoring normal and healthy lifestyle among them.

Day 1- After discussion with the collector and municipality corporation, we have identified a particular locality in mudichur and was able to deliver food,bedsheets and clothing to roughly around 1200 people. Flood relief operation to continue for two more days. Kind hearted sponsors are in great need to bring hope to the people of the devastated areas in chennai. For we stand as united Indians in this time of adversity.
