CLAT 2023 and AILET 2023 exam application dates extended.

The “Transport 4 All Challenge” is an initiative implemented by the Union Urban Affairs Ministry to ease the mobility experience of Indian citizens.
The challenge seeks to promote digital innovation in formal as well as informal public transportation.
The challenge has 3 stages.

India is participating in 26th International Malabar Naval Exercise beginning on Tuesday in Yokosuka of Japan. Australia, Japan and the USA are also participating in the Malabar Naval Exercise. The naval forces of these countries will take part in the exercise till the 18th of next month. Indian Naval Ships Shivalik and Kamorta are ready to demonstrate at the event.

The Haryana Forest Department and US Agency for International Development (USAID) launched the “Trees Outside Forests in India (TOFI)” program in the state.

The “Trees Outside Forests in India” program will enhance carbon sequestration, support local communities, and strengthen the climate resilience of agriculture. This initiative will bring farmers, companies, and other private institutions together to rapidly expand tree coverage outside of traditional forests in the state.

Launching the programme, the Chief Minister said that the Government has initiated various welfare programmes and the information should be disseminated for the larger benefit of the public.
He added that this programme aims for grassroots pe*******on of all schemes so that governance is improved in all aspects.

Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted a successful maiden flight-test of Phase-II Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) interceptor AD-1 missile with large kill altitude bracket from APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha on November 02, 2022. The flight-test was carried out with participation of all BMD weapon system elements located at different geographical locations.

SAMRIDDHI, which stands for Strengthening and Augmentation of Municipal Revenue for Infrastructure Development in Delhi will begin on October 26 and end on March 31, 2023, with no extensions.

The SAMRIDDHI 2022-23 scheme will allow residential property owners to pay only the current and previous five years' principal property tax. According to an official statement, commercial property owners can pay the principal amount for the last six years and receive a waiver on past pending dues, including penalty and interest.

“Two more Indian beaches have made it to the list of Blue Beaches. Minicoy, Thundi Beach and Kadmat Beach - both in Lakshadweep - are the proud entrants in the coveted list of Blue Beaches, an eco-label given to the cleanest beaches in the world," said Union Environment Minister, Bhupender Yadav.

With the new additions, India now has 12 beaches certified under the Blue Flag Certification.

Every year, the United Nations Day is celebrated on October 24 to mark the anniversary of the UN Charter, which came into force in 1945. The inter-governmental organisation came into being with the ratification of the founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council. The primary role of the global organisation is to maintain world peace and security. It also works towards establishing friendly relations among countries, being a centre of coordination for nations, and achieving international cooperation.
