ਕੋਟਾਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ‘ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ’ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ

ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਟਾਂ, ( ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਅਧੀਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ) ਵਿਖੇ ਮਿਤੀ 22-09-2026 ਤੋਂ 24-09-2026 ਤੱਕ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਰੁਚੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ, ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਤਿੰਨ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ‘ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ’ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, ਹਿੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਧਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਵਿਤਾ, ਕਹਾਣੀ, ਨਾਵਲ, ਨਾਟਕ, ਗਲਪ, ਜੀਵਨੀਆਂ, ਇਤਿਹਾਸ, ਧਰਮ, ਸਾਹਿਤ, ਆਮ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਰੁਚੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਚੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਕ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਆਦਤ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੋਚਣ-ਸਮਝਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਆਦਤ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਠ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਚੱਜਾ ਮਾਧਿਅਮ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਇਸ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀਅਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀਅਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਹ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਪੜ੍ਹੋ, ਵਿਚਾਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਧਾਓ’ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਕਦਮ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਈ।

Nutrition Week: Expert Lecture on Millets Held at Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Kottan

Kottan, September 23, 2026:
The Home Science Department of Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Kottan, organised an expert lecture on “Millets: From Traditional Grains to Modern Superfoods” under Nutrition Week, based on the theme “Millets for a Healthy Living.”

Dr. Rosy Bansal, Assistant Professor and Course In-charge, B.Voc. Food Processing & Engineering, Khalsa College, Patiala, was the resource person. With over 18 years of experience in Food Processing Technology, she sensitised students to the nutritional value, health benefits, food applications, and entrepreneurial potential of millets. Her interactive and engaging session was highly appreciated by the students.

Dr. Satinder Singh Randhawa, Religious Professor, highlighted the importance of purity and mindful eating from the perspective of Gurmat, Sangat and Pangat, encouraging students to make conscious and positive food choices.

Prof. Neeru Garg, Head of the Department, motivated students to incorporate millets into their daily diet. Ms. Deepakjot Kaur, President of the Home Science Society, conducted a pledge ceremony in which students and faculty members pledged to include millets in their daily lives.

Dr. Rosy Bansal was warmly welcomed and honoured with a plant by the Home Science Department. Dr. Gagandeep Singh, Principal, appreciated the efforts of Prof. Neeru Garg, the faculty, and students in organising the programme and promoting awareness about nutritious food and healthy lifestyles.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to Dr. Rosy Bansal for sharing her valuable knowledge and experience. The event proved to be an informative, engaging, and meaningful initiative towards promoting healthy dietary practices among students.

Learning by Doing: Students take the lead in exploring Cost Accounting concepts through interactive presentations.

The PG Department of Commerce, Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Manji Sahib, Kottan, organised a student presentation activity on Cost Accounting for the students of B.Com 2nd Year on September 21, 2026.

Approximately 15 students actively participated in the activity and presented important topics including Labour Turnover, Contract Costing, Remuneration and Incentive Schemes, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and other related concepts.

The activity provided students with an opportunity to move beyond conventional classroom learning and explain accounting concepts through their own presentations. The interactive sessions encouraged students to ask questions, exchange ideas and relate theoretical concepts to practical applications.

The activity aimed at developing students’ conceptual understanding, communication skills, confidence, analytical ability and presentation skills, while promoting participative and student-centric learning.

The initiative made the teaching-learning process more engaging while providing students with a platform to demonstrate their academic understanding and communication skills.

ਮਿਤੀ 22 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਪੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਛੁਪੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਖਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ‘ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਿਕ ਲਿਖਤ’ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਭੱਟੀ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਿਕ ਲਿਖਤ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ,ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਦੀ ਰੂਪ-ਰੇਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਖਤ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ, ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਰੁਚੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ, ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸਰੋਕਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ’, ‘ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ : ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ’, ‘ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਨੇੜੇ ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਰ’, ‘ਪਰਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ’, ‘ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ’, ‘ਜੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਨਾ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ…’,ਬਦਲਦੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਬਦਲਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ’, ‘ਨਸ਼ਾ-ਮੁਕਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਪਾਣੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ’ , ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਆਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜੱਜਮੈਂਟ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਡਾ. ਰੂਪਾ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੈਕਚਰਾਰ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਬਾਖੂਬੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਿਕਤਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਜੇਤੂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ “ਜਿਗਿਆਸਾ” ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ । ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਿਕ ਸਮਰੱਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ।

Mata Ganga Khalsa College Students Participate in National Student Paryavaran Competition 2026

# Department of Science and Mathematics, Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Manji Sahib Kottan, Ludhiana, actively participated in the National Student Paryavaran Competition (NSPC) 2026, an annual nationwide environmental quiz competition organized by Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi. The competition was conducted from 15 -07-2016 to 15-09- 2026 under the theme “Sowing to Growing.”

The NSPC , supported by Ministry of Education, Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, Government of India , aims to create environmental awareness among students and encourages them to participate in activities related to environmental conservation. As part of the competition, more than 50 students participated in an online environmental quiz and undertook tree plantation, uploading photographs as evidence of their participation.
Students of Mata Ganga Khalsa College enthusiastically participated in the competition and demonstrated their commitment towards environmental protection and sustainable development. The activity also encouraged students to understand the importance of trees, biodiversity and responsible environmental practices.
The activity was coordinated by Dr. Amrit Kaur Bansal, Prof. Harinder Kaur and Ms. Gurwinder Kaur. Principal Dr.Gagandeeo Singh appreciated the efforts and active participation of the students of these departments and encouraged them to continue contributing towards environmental conservation and sustainable development.
Every participating student got e-certificate upon completion of the competition.

ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਸ. ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਧਾਮੀ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਜੀ. ਸ. ਸੁਖਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ, ਸਕੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਧੀਨ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਟਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ 19 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਪੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ‘ਆਓ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਏ’ ਲੜੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਰੁਚੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਸੀ।
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਭੱਟੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਡਾ. ਰਤਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੱਗੀ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ‘ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ’ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਸਦੇ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਕਵਿਤਾ, ਨਾਵਲ, ਕਹਾਣੀ, ਨਾਟਕ, ਇਕਾਂਗੀ, ਕਾਫ਼ੀ, ਕਿੱਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਰਤਕ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਤਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੱਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਨੁਕਤਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਡਾ.ਰੂਪਾ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਵਾਉਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਲੇਬਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਵੀ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ।ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਸੀ. ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦਲੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਟਿਵਾਣਾ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ‘ਗਫ਼ੂਰ ਸੀ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਂ’ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਗਿਆਨ, ਸੋਚ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਖਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਡਮੁੱਲਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

Mata Ganga Khalsa College Honoured with Gold Green Impact Award 2026

Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Manji Sahib, Kottan, Ludhiana, has been honoured with the Gold Green Impact Award 2026 on 17th September 2026 by the National EduTrust of India (NEI) for its active participation in the Seed Balls for Sustainable Campuses Initiative–2026.
Under the initiative, students prepared seed balls using native plant species and dispersed them at suitable locations to promote biodiversity and ecological restoration. An environment-awareness rally based on posters was also organised . A guest lecture by Ms. Gurvinder Kaur, Lecturer in Biology, further enhanced students’ awareness about environmental pollution, population growth and biodiversity conservation.
The award recognises the college’s contribution towards SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 15 (Life on Land) and sustainable campus practices. This achievement will be featured in the upcoming 9th Edition of the EcoSKill NewsFlash newsletter, highlighting its environmental contribution along with the achievements of distinguished educators and institutions.
Principal Dr Gagandeep Singh appreciated the efforts of the faculty and students. The initiative was conducted by Dr. Amrit Kaur Bansal( Co ordinator ), Prof. Harinder Kaur(Co- coordinator ) and Dr. Kamrunnisha,( Co -cordinator) with active participation of students.

*Lecture on Voting Rights and Voter Registration Organised*

The Department of History, Political Science and Computer Science organised a voter awareness initiative by arranging informative lecture on “Voting Rights and Electoral Awareness” to sensitise students about the importance of exercising their democratic rights. Prof. Sandeep Kaur Cheema delivered the lecture and highlighted the significance of voting, voter participation, and the responsibilities of citizens in a democracy.

As part of the initiative, 14 students were registered as voters with the guidance of Prof. Agamjyot Kaur Tiwana and Prof. Gurpreet Kaur. The initiative aimed to encourage young students to participate actively in the democratic process and understand the importance of their right to vote.
Principal Dr. Gagandeep Singh applauded the efforts of the faculty members and appreciated the initiative for promoting electoral awareness and responsible citizenship among students.
