House English Debate Competition 2026
Inspiration Public School hosted its much-awaited - Competition 2026, providing students with a vibrant platform to showcase their oratory skills, critical thinking, confidence, and ability to articulate well-reasoned arguments.
The competition was conducted in two categories: Classes IX–X and Classes XI–XII, with thought-provoking topics that encouraged the participants to analyse contemporary social, religious, and international issues from diverse perspectives.
Category I: Classes IX–X
The topic for the Classes IX–X category was:
“Loot in Shrines is a Big Setback to Religious Beliefs.”
The young debaters presented their arguments with confidence and conviction, demonstrating impressive research, logical reasoning, and command over the English language.
The Blue House emerged as the Winner, followed by Yellow House in the Second Position and Red House in the Third Position.
The individual position holders were:
- First Position: Aditi Bardola – Yellow House
- Second Position: Vyom Joshi – Blue House
- Third Position: Myna Patni – Red House
Category II: Classes XI–XII
The senior category witnessed equally compelling arguments on the topic:
“Uncle Sam Has Become the Ringmaster.”
The participants engaged in an intellectually stimulating exchange of ideas, displaying maturity, awareness, persuasive skills, and the ability to respond spontaneously to challenging questions.
The Yellow House secured the First Position, while Blue House stood Second and Green House secured the Third Position.
The individual position holders were:
- First Position: Yukti Tiwari – Yellow House
- Second Position: Priyanshi Singh – Yellow House
- Third Position: Aditi Mishra – Blue House
The competition was judged by Ms. Ayana Chauhan and Ms. Amrita Shah from the Twin Win India Team. The participants were evaluated on three key parameters:Content, Presentation, Answer to the Interjector
The judging criteria ensured that the competition assessed not only the quality of arguments but also the speakers' confidence, presentation skills, presence of mind, and ability to defend their viewpoints effectively.
The programme was graced by the presence of Chairperson Dr. Geetika Balutia, Principal Mr. Anurag Mathur, and Vice Principal Ms. Mamta Taneja, along with the faculty members of Inspiration Public School. Their presence and encouragement added great significance to the event and motivated the participants to put forth their best efforts.
The success of the event was the result of the enthusiastic efforts and teamwork of the students and faculty. The IT Team did commendable work in designing and preparing the presentation for the programme. Special appreciation goes to Mayuresh Taragi and Aayush Rawat of Class XI-D for their valuable contribution.
The event was anchored with grace, confidence, and energy by Meghansh Arya and Ekasha Rawat of Class X-B, along with Gunshika Pant and Anushka Baloni of Class XII-B. Their fluent delivery and effective coordination kept the proceedings engaging and well-organised.
The Inter-House English Debate Competition proved to be an enriching learning experience, encouraging students to think critically, express themselves effectively, respect diverse viewpoints, and develop the confidence to engage in meaningful discourse. The event concluded on a high note, celebrating not merely the winners but the spirit of participation, intellectual curiosity, and healthy competition among the students of Inspiration Public School.
