🌟 Welcome to IIT Jodhpur, Dr. Deepak Swami! 🌟
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Deepak Swami as an hashtag in the Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, IIT Jodhpur!
Dr. Swami earned his Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee, specializing in groundwater flow and contamination modeling, surface moisture dynamics, and engineering. He previously served as an Associate Professor at IIT Mandi (2015 - 2025), making significant contributions to the field of water resources engineering. In March 2025, he joined Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, bringing his expertise to further advance research and education in civil and infrastructure engineering.
His research focuses on groundwater flow, contaminant transport, parameter optimization, aquifer modeling, dynamic plant uptake, and source identification. Over the years, he has actively contributed to research, consultancy projects, and curriculum development. Additionally, he has been involved in organizing and participating in various workshops and conferences, including the HYDRUS Winter School 2024, aimed at advancing research tools in groundwater modeling.
We look forward to his valuable contributions at IIT Jodhpur! 🚀

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Dammala is an in the Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, IIT Jodhpur at the IIT Jodhpur . His research focuses on Soil Dynamics, Soil-Structure Interaction, Pile Foundations, Seismic Requalification Studies, Aeolian Sand Dune Dynamics and Sustainable Geotechnical. His research group (SAFARI) is dedicated to enhancing against both natural and man-made disasters by rigorously studying soil behavior and designing stable foundations.

Dr. Dammala's research group received several prestigious accolades, including the DST-DAAD Fellowship India DST DAAD India, Research Impact Award from the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK, the SERB SIRE Fellowship, the Dr. Abdul Kalam Fellowship, the Prime Minister's Research Fellows (PMRF) for Ms. Sumaja Kolli, the Science and Engineering Research Board OVDF for Mr. Satish Kumar Adari, the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE)
Travel Grant for Satish and Sumaja, the Institute of International Finance (IIF) Fellowship and the Commonwealth Splitsite Fellowship to Ms. Sumaja Kolli.
