FELICITATION OF PYTHON ACHIEVERS
Today’s language of creativity is CODING. Young coders can develop their analytical skills through coding and coding competition help them a lot. In view of this, Department of Computer Application, MPGI organized a 2-round competition in Python language on 9-10 December 2022. Today the day has come to felicitate all the winners, participants and organizers. 1st Rank holder: Arif Akhtar, 2nd Rank holder: Vimal Rajput and 3rd Rank holder: Prakhar Pratap Singh, along with 20 other participants who cleared 1st round were felicitated by Director sir. Also 15 students from MCA final Year without whom this event was not possible as they were the organizers, were felicitated. Event was ended with two motivational videos on Steve Jobs and Ronaldo. Event was anchored by BCA 2nd Year students Gausiya and Pragati. All faculties and HOD Mr. Mayank Shukla of Computer Applications were present.

KES SESSION ON ‘CYBER SECURITY’

Effective security awareness helps us to understand cyber risks associated with their actions and attacks, proper do’s and don’t s. Mr. Avanish Kumar Dixit taken a session on ‘Cyber Security’ and discussed its importance. Cyber attacks may be active or passive. In both cases, their risks are very high. He discussed various type of cyber crimes like phishing etc. and also covered various types of malwares including spyware, adware, viruses and worms. He briefly covered ethical hacking, cyber security risks and preventive measures which includes using relevant and authentic websites with avoiding click on unknown or unauthorized links etc. overall the session was very informative. All students of BCA and MCA along with faculty members and HOD were present.

9th – 10th DECEMBER
PYTHON MANIA
Coding competition is a way to improve the analytical and problem-solving skills of young coders. It creates an environment where they can indulge themselves in solving real-world problems. Python is one of the most popular programming languages. Keeping view of its importance, a 2-round coding challenge was organized by the Department of Computer Applications, MPGI on 9th – 10th December 2022. Students of B.Tech. (CS), MCA and BCA participated. Over 150 students appeared for the first round held on 9th December. Top 20 participants were shortlisted for 2nd round, scheduled on 10th December. Top 3 rankers of 2nd round are:

Rank 3: Prakhar Pratap Singh from BCA 2nd Year

APEX 2022 DAY 2
Day 2 started with semi finals and finals matches. Nikhil Kumar Kesari from BCA 2nd Year wins Long Jump in boys category. Shreya Pandey from BCA 2nd Year was runner up in 100 m Race (girls), in 200 m category Khushi Pal from BCA 2nd Year bagged runner up in girls category and Nitesh Yadav from BCA 1st Year was runner up in boys category. Mohd. Vajahat and Ahtesham from BCA 1st Year wins Carrom (boys team). In Badminton girls single category, Ravina Kumari from BCA 2nd Year became runner up and in Badminton girls team category, team of Mallika Bhadouriya and Bushra Khan became runner up. In Table Tennis (boys single), Arpit Singh Chauhan from BCA 3rd Year was runner up. In Gully Cricket (boys team), team of BCA 1st Year students: Balwant, Alok Pal, Ashish and Ajay win and in girls team, team of MCA 1st Year students: Shreya Awasthi, Shiksha katiyar, Devyanshi Gupta and Shreya wins.
In the prize ceremony, Director Admin sir, Principal ma’am, all HODs and faculties were present.

25th NOVEMBER
APEX 2022 DAY 1
Day 1 started with the opening ceremony where faculties and students gathered to honor our chief guest Mr. Rahul Sapru, former Indian Cricketer, played for UP, along with Joint Secretary Mr. G. Bhadouria, Director Admin Sir and all HODs. Students of MPEC, MIPS and MPCPS carried out the Flag March. After that league matches of Badminton, Carrom, Chess and other games were started.

Sports help in preparing students to face challenges of life by enhancing physical and mental abilities. Knowing such importance, MPGI is going to conduct another series of APEX 2022: sport event on 25th to 26th November. Registration is on full swing. Our student volunteers are handling registration and help desk queries.
Various league matches are conducted today and our students participated with full enthusiasm in Badminton, Gully cricket, Tug of war, Kho-Kho, Chess, Carrom etc. Eagerly waiting for finals…

GUEST TALK ON ‘CLOUD COMPUTING: CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES’
Cloud Computing is another challenging area for professionals. A guest talk on ‘Cloud Computing: Career opportunities and Challenges’ organized by Department of Computer Applications, MPGI on 19th November 2022 in N Block Auditorium. Speaker was Mr. Abhishek Pandey, Software Engineer in Nagarro Software. He is our alumni of 2019 batch. Session was started with lamp lightning. The guest started the session by introducing the Cloud Computing and services provided by it. He also explained various models and their applications. Then he discussed the roadmap and career opportunities like Cloud Network Engineer, Data Engineer, Cloud Consultant and many more. Target audience were BCA and MCA students along with all faculty members. Vote of thanks delivered by HOD Mr. Mayank Shukla.

INDUCTION PROGRAM: DAY 2
Day 2 was started with Poster making activity in which many students of MCA and BCA 1st year have participated. Group of 4 to 5 students were formed. Various themes were suggested like AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAVA, DIGITAL INDIA, PANDEMIC: A DISASTER, CLIMATE CHANGE etc. Second event was held in MPGI ground named as AMAZON PROMOTION. Various activities were held, like Easy_life. BCA students Nargis and Prakhar Pratap Singh won prizes.

INDUCTION PROGRAM
The aim of conduction of Induction program is to energies and familiarize students with new journey before starting their academics. A 4-day induction program is organized for new students from 14th September to 17th September, 2022. Day 1 was started with Yoga. Various asanas and pranayama session was held successfully in which many students of MCA and BCA 1st year were participated, in N Block ground floor. The second activity on this day was a Guest Talk by motivational speaker Mr. Amit Pandey, CEO and Board of Director of PinCap, in N Block auditorium. He is also a Founder & Chief of Super 77. Principal ma’am initiated the session. Guest speaker emphasized on how positive outlook helps in facing all challenges of every phase of life. At last, vote of thanks was given by Mr. Mayank Shukla, HOD Department of Computer Applications.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM
Orientation programs are conducted for familiarizing students to new campus environment. It helps them to transit from senior secondary level into post-secondary level. An orientation program was scheduled on 13th September 2022 for BBA, BCA, MCA & MBA 1st year students in N block auditorium. The program was begun with lamp lightning, followed by welcome speech by Principal ma’am. Director sir, HODs of all departments and faculties were present. Rules and regulations mandate for each student regarding attendance, discipline, internal examination was discussed. A Guest talk was also organized, delivered by Sri. Amit Kumar ITS, Joint Director, General Foreign Trade, DGFT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Mayank Shukla, HOD Computer Applications.

Tab distribution ceremony for BBA & BCA Final year students was held today under “Digi Shakti Scheme”, an initiative by the UP Govt. On this occasion, Director Admin MPEC, Principal MPSPS, HOD Computer Applications and faculty members were present. All students were excited and delighted after receiving Tabs from Director Admin. This would be useful for their academic improvement.
