Relation (संबंध) और Function (फलन) गणित के बहुत महत्वपूर्ण concepts हैं, खासकर Algebra में। आसान भाषा में समझते हैं:
🔷 Relation (संबंध) क्या होता है?
Relation का मतलब है दो सेट (sets) के बीच संबंध बनाना।
👉 मान लो दो सेट हैं:
A = {1, 2, 3}
B = {a, b}
अगर हम A के elements को B के elements से जोड़ते हैं, तो जो जोड़ी (pair) बनती है, उसे Relation कहते हैं।
👉 उदाहरण:
R = {(1, a), (2, b), (3, a)}
इसमें हर pair दिखाता है कि A का कौन सा element B के किस element से जुड़ा है।
✔ Relation में एक element कई elements से जुड़ सकता है।
🔷 Function (फलन) क्या होता है?
Function, Relation का ही एक special प्रकार है।
👉 Function में:
A के हर element का केवल एक ही output (B का element) होना चाहिए।
👉 उदाहरण:
f = {(1, a), (2, b), (3, a)}
✔ यह function है क्योंकि:
हर input (1, 2, 3) का सिर्फ एक output है।
❌ लेकिन अगर ऐसा हो:
{(1, a), (1, b)}
तो यह function नहीं होगा, क्योंकि:
1 के दो outputs हैं (a और b)

Relation का विशेष प्रकार
एक input के कई outputs हो सकते हैं
एक input का केवल एक output
जरूरी नहीं कि हर element जुड़ा हो
हर element का जुड़ना जरूरी
🔷 Example से समझो
मान लो: A = {1, 2}
B = {x, y}
👉 Relation:
{(1, x), (1, y), (2, x)} ✔
👉 Function:
{(1, x), (2, y)} ✔
🔷 Short में याद रखने का तरीका
👉 Relation = कोई भी connection
👉 Function = perfect rule (हर input → एक ही output)
